Maevaris is a Tevinter Magister recognized by the Imperial Senate, why would she marry an Orlesian pig farmer ?

Well she seems to be from Tevinter. That's for sure. Maybe she was bored, or she had to run.

I thought she looked a little like Maevaris just with shorter hair, and thought she might have needed to escape Tevinter after the business with Alistair, Varric and Isabela. But, I might be reading too much into things.

The pig-farmer's portrait is taken directly from an old piece of concept art so I don't think she was drawn specifically to look like Maevaris. That'd be a really cool nod though!
