After waiting endlessly for a ME3 edition + all DLC's I finally gave up and bought the digital deluxe version.

Well, the PC version I downloaded is supposed to have the From Ashes DLC and a bit of other stuff and sure, when I check downloadable content there's 5-6 items I can "purchase" for free. So now "From Ashes" says "You own this" and "Purchased".

I've been googling a lot and apparently I just need to access my personal terminal and there should be a mail. Well, I tried the one to the left of the galaxy map and the one in the captain's cabin. Nada. And I've done Mars, Citadel I and even Cerberus Lab so it should be there, right?

The medikit sub plot from Cerberus apparently needs Palaven completed but I sure hope there isn't a similar restriction on this (and not mentioned anywhere).

Any ideas?

As a final rant I'll just mention this will probably be the last EA/Bioware game I ever buy. Can't be bought on Steam and even on Amazon the best digital versions are locked for UK so had to buy it straight from Origin. No DLC pack ever offered so you have to cough up multum to get the complete story. Well, after one or two crappy DLC's on ME2 I decided to hold off on DLC's until ME3 + ME2 + ME1 + all DLC's came out for a reasonable price... but no such luck. I wonder if I'm the only one that was stubborn enough to hold off the purchase TWO years in hope of a complete package?

Try ReDownloading From Ashes, or Try Repairing your Game.

It triggers right after you take control of the Normandy, so after Priority: Citadel.

Nope. No good.

I was hopeful after deleting all the local content and "repair game" appeared in Origin, but alas, even after that, repairing is always there, nothing to repair... and, worse still, now downloadable content is gone as well from the main menu. So I can't even check the status of my DLC's now?

I already tried this under Windows 8 as well but no good (and playing was worse as ALT-TAB pretty much was screwed up).

More ideas?

Maybe this is copy protection going wrong as I tried this under W7 and W8?

I can nuke my W8 as I only use it for games and especially for this reason. Play one game, nuke W8, reinstall updates, backup, install next game. But working this much after buying a game just isn't worth it. Not even for ME.

Sorry if I sound annoyed and pissed off... maybe because I am. Is there some possibility to find EA/BW support that would check my account?

Been pretty much buying only indie games lately and they always just work. As for AAA games, the last two Biosomething and Tombsomething (no ads :) both had annoying problems crashing. Waiting one year and then continuing fixed the bugs... but ME3 is 2y old so...

Is there a mission in the quest journal? And are you keeping Origin online through the entire 'checking DLC' process at least once through the loading of the game?

And after 'you own this' and 'purchased' there should also be 'install'. Did you actually install From Ashes? Click on 'purchased' to see if it changes.

Took a while to respond since I re-installed everything from scratch, twice (3h with my 6M DL :)).

Still didn't work (notice the past tense :)).

Earlier on I got downloadable content in the game's main menu and that's where I downloaded the packages. Now I can only find it in the Origin clients ME3 details.

After the second reinstall I saw the new install button appear in the Origin client after downloaded had been done (could have been there after the first but I got a lot less when looking at details). Anyway, now it said installed. Still nothing.

Last night I had time for a final attempt (as I had the two last replies I hadn't read in queue being a busy dad for a week :). Had the Origin client on, restarted the game a few times and sure as hell waited for the usual amazingly slow DLC check last night and still nothing.

Thsi morning I decided it's time for EA support so went here to fetch the url.

Just in case, started ME3 once more and Traynor says I have a new message. Voila, Eden Prime.

I think I have a hunch about why it worked this time so I'll do some guessing here in case someone else has the same problem (and the web is full of people complaining).

a) When the game first installed the DLCs could be found in-game and you could get to Purchased (and downloaded).

b ) Since you could view the stuff in-game I never thought I had to go out to the Origin client to get them Installed.

c) After cleaning out the game and re-installing the Origin client did not change.

d) After cleaning both the Origin Client and the game (and removing any remains manually)...

e) The Origin client behaved differently and I could get all the way to installed. NO idea why the original digital download install which did update both the Game and the Origin client after that didn't end up at the same endpoint (unless they changed something in the Origin client last week).

F) After seeing installed in the origin client the game STILL didn't show the DLC.

G) After rebooting (probably exiting the origin client could be enough) the DLC content finally appeared.

So at least one way to try to get DLCs to work is to reinstall from scratch --- IF the DLC already shows installed and/or restarting the Origin client after pressing install doesn't work (rebooting if the client leaves any crap somewhere anyway).

Thanks for any help. Funny how often the community is the best place to get help these days (on purpose and I'm sure gaming companies have some staff looking at threads as well :)).

It was my pleasure, even if I didn't even help much
