Just finished, it was another good episode. I completely forgot about Tyrion getting imprisoned after the wedding, but whatever, I don't think Margeary really cares about the Forresters.

I'm shocked at the number of people who didn't stand up to Gryff. I would have thought that would be by far the popular choice.

I stood up to him the first time. Didn't kiss his father's ring in the second episode either.

 

Standing up the second time just seems like you're asking for trouble. Let him think he's won for now. He'll get what's coming to him sooner or later.

Who do y'all think the traitor is? The maester seems to obvious. Royland isn't my sentinel, but he really doesn't seem the type. Duncan neither. Though, who knows.

I would have figured that too, but I guess Gwyn convinced alot of people....or the threat against Talia did.

As for the traitor:

 

Yeah. I'd say it's definitely either the mother or Duncan. Someone's leaking info since they know about Asher and Mira's parts. Maester Ortegryn could easily have let Rodrick die in surgery since Rodrick being back has just made House Forrester stronger since the lord is no longer a hostage at their house. It also may not be a coincidence that they made sure it's Royland who finds Rodrick alive since this would have also been an opportunity to kill Rodrick. The mother's obvious motive would be Ryan's safety, but I find it hard to believe she'd leak plans on freeing Ryan then, and she was also the one to advise you to basically slaughter the Whitehills at the first opportunity.

 

I'd have to go with Duncan. He makes the most story-interesting choice since it means he sent his nephew to go find the Grove for his self-interest rather than for the Forresters. On the contrasting side, it also shows just how evil/heartless he could be to work with the people that killed his brother and niece. Of course, we don't actually know how close they were.

While I'll probably keep staying down in my choices for the next episode, I'll be damned if...

taking every one of Gryff's hits and getting up wasn't the most satisfying thing. Then pointing out how you survived the Twins...Rodrik the Ruined needs to be Rodrik the Unyielding or something now. Will probably come back to bite anyone who does it, but at least it was badass. :S

 

 

They seem to be building up to Rodrik recovering from his wounds and kicking somebody's arse. Looking forward to it.

The reasons i stayed down is because i didn't want Talia to get hurt.

I rather sacrifice my honor & pride and take pressure off Rodrik, his family and Ironrath. Even though Gryff is pathetic and just a bully i let him won, it will be that much more satisfying when his guard will be down when i'll exact my revenge on him and his father (hopefully). Rodrik is by far my favourite character in the series, but we all know what happens when you like someone in GoT.

 

My biggest concern is for Mira at the moment, she is already hated by almost everyone in King's landing. I hope keeping the letter won't get her killed. It looks to me that every choice you make with Mira is wrong

While arguments can be made for both sides on the standing up to Gryff debate, I trust everyone punched that Whitehill soldier making fun of Ethan in the kisser? Cause heeeeelll naw.

I feel like I'm making all the wrong choices with Mira. Also, I'm with HiroVoid on who the traitor is.

Kicking Britt off the Wall and standing up to Gryff will probably bite me in the ass, but I don't give any of the fucks. I'll just do another playthrough if everything goes to shit. Gared and Rodrik are two of my three favorite characters (along with Asher), and I don't plan on allowing them to bend the knee to any Whitehill bastard; for better or worse.

No clue who the traitor is. My sentinel is Royland, but he seems too obvious. Perhaps he's so obvious that he's not obvious enough, or perhaps he's so devoted to Ironwrath he could never do it.

 

The mum seems like a potential fit. She might be it. She definitely makes it sound like she wants them taken down but still, that just makes it all the more suspicious.

 

The maester? Dunno. He seems very reserved and not as utilized as the rest. Could come as a surprise if you don't consider him.

 

Duncan plays super friendly, who knows. May just be him. He's the one we're supposed to trust, but can we? How'd he learn about Gwyn?

I'm all for not doing anything stupid. And I'm sure Telltale won't play it this way. But showing public weakness in front of all of your people is quite different from biding your time. The family is in a crazy precarious position. Allowing the Whitehills too much leeway could just as easily culminate in them running over you.

I'm sure telltale will play it as being about pride but that's a bit shortsighted. While you can't actually trigger a war at the same time painting a target on your back is a bad idea.

While some choices IMO are quite smart - such as not mistreating the soldiers - others like appearing wreak seem to just make it hard to rise up. If Rodrik needs support and everyone thinks he's a spineless coward, who will die for him?

To that end, I actually thought I saw some Whitehill men losing faith in Gryff or even being stirred by Rodrik's refusal to submit during that scene. Made me think that we might get a scene in Episode 4 where a rogue group of Whitehill soldiers approach Rodrik and offer to "join" him and help in a covert manner. There's also the possibility of some double-dealing there, which always seems to be a threat in the Game of Thrones universe. My observations could prove to be false, though.
