Well yeah, I don't mean to say he's a Targaryen or anything, but just the gist of his role. 

 

Gared kind of reminds me of someone who'd be a protagonist in...any fantasy RPG, actually. Not to say he's bad, just how I feel about him. :S

 

I think his story is going to be a clever inversion, since you may well become a deserter (something JS did not do).

I think that's what the killing that shitheel is meant to result in. Regardless, the NW wants to execute you for doing it. Your friend in the NW ends up saving your life, and you escape for the Grove.

 

Again, if they want to be dark about it when you get back it'll be Rodrik who has to judge you - and you might have strong reasons to have to execute a character you played as to save the family. 

 

That I think is the kind of two-sided conversation that might be great.

Honestly?

I probably trust Finn more than I do him, even if Finn is the one that tells the rest about you killing another brother. I appreciate Cotter coming clean about being a wildling, but him stealing things just to amuse himself and consequently getting others in trouble really rubs me the wrong way. ESPECIALLY when he steals from me even though I covered for him earlier and got a face full of Finn's fists for my trouble.

 

Also, I can't trust a man who I hear f*cks potatoes.

I have a problem with him

I'm My Gared is very protective of anything to do with the North Grove and have kept my word to the late Lord Forrester regarding it. Although my Gared hasn't killed anyone unless forced to, he might off Cotter if he sees him deserting, so as to protect the North Grove and killing him in a way that helps him maintain his honor (Gared also doesn't want to break either of his oaths and will do his best to walk on the thin line). The North Grove could be House Forrester's salvation and my Gared would not want to see that ruined. By taking that map and in turn secret, Cotter may very well have put his death into motion by looking at that map.

 

As for him being a Wildling, nah, that has nothing to do with it. You can't choose who/what you are.

I been trying to rack my brain about who the traitor might me. There are five people that could know of the plan. I discounted his mother(Because no motive to betray him.) at the very start of the game you can pick two people to be by your side, one is a fighter, the other more diplomatic. I discounted the Diplomatic guy because he went to the Wall to spread news of the North Grove.

 

That leaves two people. The other guy the fighter. (Forgot his name.) It could be him. He hasn't done anything meaningful yet. The person I think it is honestly. Is the guy who sits in the robes that doesn't say much. While everyone is planning. He just sits silently. If anyone was a traitor. He sticks out as the obvious person. From the very early stages of the game. I think hes the healer. They didn't trust him enough to tell him enough North Grove. That's just who I think it is. It could also be the fighter hes quick to provoke the situation. He could just be protecting his lord. I wish I knew all of their names. I'm better with visual faces describing things. I think he's the traitor

I'd always have a feeling it'd be the Maester, which was a suspicion that was laid on me ever since the first episode, where Lord Forrester relays the information of the North Grove to Gared, so when he returns home with bad news of the Red Wedding -- The Maester seemingly tries to put Gared on the spot in regards to whether Lord Forrester had something important he wanted to say to his family. There's just something about him there. It only felt natural to distract them by relaying a message of love instead -- Although, admittedly I did reveal the information to Gared's uncle, but he is Gared's family and while Kinslayer certainly isn't beneath the characters of ASoIaF, there is definitely a lot stronger bonds between the members of each House as opposed to between strangers.

Both the Lannisters an the Starks share a somewhat similar principle in regards to family, whereas one it is more of love, while the other is honour and strength of blood etc.

At the very end of the game. It could prove useful. I been conflicted about burning it up or saving it. It could be used against her if she saves it and its discovered. It would also be used to the advantage once the threat to IronWood is gone. As far as telling everyone about North Grove. The very little information we know about North Grove was your Father's dying words is not to tell everyone about it. If you had a secret weapon. Why would you shout it from the rooftops. It should stay concealed. True strength doesn't need to be exposed.

So I burnt it to essentially eliminate any connection with Tyrion.

True. I can't help but think it could be worth something later on. It's like with that blood knife, in the moment your thinking "Quick get rid of it" maybe it might have served a better purpose holding on to it. You could plant it on something. It could in the end just be nothing. Small choices that don't actually change anything. We have three more EPs to go. I can't help but think there's going to be a situation where you could use it to your advantage. With Lady Marygaery I tried not talking to Tyrion. He just blurts out what you been talking with him in hushed tones in front of Lady Marygaery. I'm thinking it was better to talk to him at the party. At the very least then only you and him know about Royal Letter. Either way you end up insetting Lady Marygery.

 

Thankfully. My relationship with the handmaiden was in good standing. She promised to beg her for the person I played to stay in Kings Landing. Not talking to Tyrion and talking to him. I just don't know what the long term effects of it it will be. If you don't. He tells your business in front of everyone. If you do. Lady Marygeary gets upset. But shes upset either way. So much to ponder.

Daddy Forrester dies, but beforehand tells Gared to tell to inform Duncan that the North Grove must not be lost. Tell no one else.

 

Hypothetically, turns out Duncan is working with the Whitehills. So if you only tell him, the Forresters are boned. I think that'd be an interesting twist, if we needed to do the exact opposite of what we were expected to do.
