No wonder they used the TV series.
THEY HAVE THE SOUNDTRACK!
Yay!

YES! The real actors (or Lena Headey at least) are voicing the characters! Plus Ramsay is in (I thought the guy in the earlier screenshot was him but I couldn't be sure). Get this baby out, Telltale.

EDIT: More information here. Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Natalie Dormer, and Iwan Rheon are all in the game and more characters from the show will show up in later episodes. Plus there's some info on the different members of House Forrester.

The Forrester family tree from IGN. Gared and Mira are confirmed protagonists.
Hm, Gared's Lord Forrester's squire and currently with Robb's army. Well, I guess we can expect Red Wedding shenanigans.http://au.ign.com/ar...game-of-thrones

Episode 1 comes out on these dates:
ohh so close. ios used to always get shafted. I'm not sure if I wanna get it on PC or ios. I've always preferred ios for the touch screen instead of WSADing like a tank and I figured the humble graphics wouldn't look much different. But this is looking even prettier than TWAU so I'm wondering if I'll be missing out on an iphone.

They also tweeted about an Android release, but they didn't have a date for it yet, so I didn't mention it.

The game is 10% off if you prepurchase it on Steam. I doubt the offer will be good for much longer after this post though so you might wanna get a move on.

Here's the launch trailer:
Woop, I know what I'll be doing today!

I'd love to play it now but it's still not out yet on Steam.
Anyway IGN gave it a 8/10 and called it a "strong start" for whatever that's worth. Not sure if any other reviews are up.

PETER
F*CKING
DINKLAGE!
I found a review which makes the game sound less than promising. More or less the characters are forgettable carbon copies of the stark children.
He gave it a 5/10 and said "There are no puzzles, no pixel hunting, nothing other than conversations and quick-time events. Iron From Ice doesn’t even have much of the latter, either. Absent gripping protagonists or a different take on this already well-trodden world, it doesn’t offer very much at all. It’s basically a re-run of HBO’s show, and you can already watch that on the telly."
I certainly did enjoy the episode and for most of the time it was exciting enough. It's not a perfect episode by any means but TellTale can make it very much work now when a lot of basic stuff has been ironed out.
I liked it better than Walking Dead Season 2s first episode.
Ramsey Snow is still a PoS though.
Anyone reading the books, he dies a horrible agonizing death right?

Item hunting and puzzles haven't been in Telltale adventure games for a while. But anyway, back to playing it, me-self.I just watched a let's play. They really do seem to be leaning very hard on copying the Starks... At first. I got the sense that things will be getting a bit more original in future episodes. And the ending (At least with that particular let's play) left me with that gut-punched-oh-wait-he's-got-a-knife-in-his-fist-and-now-he's-twisting-it feeling that makes it feel quite authentically like Game of Thrones
There was a rather distressing lack of gameplay outside making conversation choices though. No item hunting, no puzzles. I'm guessing this is a consequence of trying to fit gameplay between three different characters into one episode.

Dammit George!
They had item hunting in the Walking Dead, even if it was pretty easy and linear. Haven't played the Wolf Among Us, so I can't comment on that.Item hunting and puzzles haven't been in Telltale adventure games for a while. But anyway, back to playing it, me-self.
