Just a heads up, the season pass on the Xbox One is broken (at least for me). When I go in game it still says that Episode 2 is "Coming Soon!", but when I go to the Xbox Marketplace it is available for $4.99.  <_<

I went back and checked and I do have the season pass installed, so....

This sucks, I hope they get it fixed soon.

Edit: https://twitter.com/...022291198828544 People are reporting the problem on twitter as well.

Yeah, much like the teleporting uncle, that didn't make much sense.

And on that note, does Moat Cailin not exist in the show universe? Because theoretically it should be blocking the way of anyone trying to get to the North.

The timespan's probably the biggest plothole even if I enjoy the story itself.  If you take into account the timespan in the first episode was at least 2 weeks between the red wedding and the planning for the purple wedding and episode 1-2 was around 4 weeks for travel and further time, Rodrick hasn't had anything to eat/drink and been knocked out for around a month.

On Xbox One there are some issues at the moment. I played the entirety of Episode 2 but I just get a black screen after the preview for Episode 3, so its not counting my completion of the last part of the episode. No big deal if it gets fixed, but it is an annoyance.

Anyway, I'll have to give my decisions based on what you all have listed since I haven't seen my choices listed yet, given the black screen-

Quite frankly, I am appalled by how Telltale has handled the launch of Episode 2.

There are a lot of issues for both the Xbox One and 360 versions of Episode 2.

One of the big ones being, and this is a kicker, that the choices made from the first episode aren't carrying over for a large number of people.

The second and most important one in my opinion (because it is preventing me and others from playing the game) is that the season pass doesn't work. Everyone (or nearly everyone) that has purchased the season pass on the Xbox One and 360 versions of the game are not able to play, the only way to get around it is to purchase the episode for $4.99. While $4.99 isn't that big of a deal on its own, what happens if this is a reoccurring issue, would it be fair for season pass holders to end up having to pay double?

Did I mention that Telltale has been ignoring topics pertaining to these two issues in their support forums, but have been answering other issues? They've also been ignoring tweets regarding these issues on their twitter. I'd be less frustrated if they would at least acknowledge that those two major issues and state that they are working on a fix.  <_<

Never take Bioware's forums for granted. However you feel about the company's direction and its games, appreciate that they are so interactive and responsive when you need to talk or when stuff goes down.

I don't think our betrothed really loves us. She's just in this for our wood.

But who can blame her? Forrester wood has no equal in Westeros. Our wood has been satisfying the necessities of the Starks for generations.

I just downloaded this last night, with my season pass.  I didn't play it yet.  I ran into two issues downloading it.  The first time I tried, I got an error message that said that my account was locked from purchasing content.  I tried again a minute later and it started downloading, but when it got to 99%, I got an "unable to download" error.  I tried a third time and it downloaded, but I haven't tried playing it yet.  That's my plan for tonight.  Were you able to download and not play?  Or unable to download at all?

Love Telltale's games

Hate the baggage that comes with them

And there always seems to be something wrong with a Telltale game series. Achievements unlocking out of order, delays in release of the episodes, loading being stuttery, decisions not carrying over correctly, etc etc

C'mon Telltale.

C'mon now

I haven't got that far.

In game under the episodes tab it says that episode 2 is "purchased, but not downloaded" (I guess it's progress from that "coming soon" nonsense it had been spouting) when I click on it I'm taken to the Xbox Live Market Place and instead of saying install it says "Buy $4.99". I'm not paying for it again, I already bought it through paying for the Season Pass.

I think I'm going to give them a week (6 days now) to fix it and just ask Microsoft for a refund on my Season Pass (I'll do a charge back on my credit card if they refuse) if TT doesn't get it fixed or say that they are working on it by then. I understand that things go wrong and developing games is hard, but they should have been certain that the game worked for everyone before they put it on the Marketplace.

I already had a pretty sour taste in my mouth from most of the games that I got in November being riddled with bugs and massively broken.

I just thought of something, have you tried "rewinding"? You'd have to go through the last scene again, but it might fix it.

I haven't, I might try later. I'm waiting to see if Telltale will get off their bums and say something on their forums about it. Its like they rely on ONE dude to say anything, and he just comes across like a bot with no personality who gives the most corporate responses ever, like, "I'm sorry you feel that way, have you tried etc etc, what console are you on, etc etc"

I'm like, dude.

Pls.

Throw in a meme or something. Prove to me you are real.

Telltale Mike XD (I've spent a lot of time reading there in the last 24 hours)

From what I can tell, they have him and a volunteer moderator, that's it.

They are very stingy about hiring help.

I'm downloading the game now, it's going fine so far, but I'll let you know if I hit any snags.

So an update on my situation:

I went to Xbox.com on a hunch and checked my transaction history, the last two transactions that show up are Game of Thrones: Iron from Ice and Tales from the Border Lands: Zero Sum. For whatever reason I didn't get charged for the season pass. My Xbox One acknowledges that I have the season pass and it shows up as installed (I can't "buy it" again either). I even called my Credit Card Company and there is no record of a transaction taking place for the Game of Thrones Season Pass.

I just said screw it and went ahead and bought Episode 2, because you know, they deserve money for their work. I also decided that if some sort of charge does show up for the season pass in the future that I'll just contact Microsoft and have them refund me for the Pass and just buy each episode individually as I currently plan to do (if they refuse to do that and a chargeback on my credit card isn't an option, then I'll just wait for all future TellTale games to come out on disc and snag them off Ebay so that I can play them and that TellTale doesn't get my money. Short term gain for them, long term loss. I don't really want to go that route as I like to support video game companies, but I am also not a fan of getting screwed).

So, if you are having issues with the season pass on your Xbox console be sure to check your transaction history and see if you've been charged for it (Maybe Telltale is refunding us for our purchase to fix it?).

Good to hear.  I'm actually playing right now and I'm having some issues still.  The cut scenes have broken audio at times and there was a big fight scene in the beginning of the episode.  I died five times because the screen kept freezing, but the game would continue anyway and the character would be dead by the time the screen unfroze.  I finally just winged my way through it and it's been better since, but I'm still having some audio issues.  Bummer, because I do enjoy the game.  Hopefully it turns out okay.

I had some issues, but not the ones you did.

My choices didn't carry over, I even went back and rewinded the end of Episode 1 and did it again in the hopes that the choices would transfer, nope :(

Other then that, I really enjoyed the episode.

Spoiler

The audio did repeat itself a few times during the "Next time on Game of Thrones preview" and it even went black for a couple of seconds. I thought I was going to suffer the same issue as Prince, but I got lucky in that regard.

I hope the next episode has a flawless launch and is just as good in terms of the writing and choices.
