Well, given that EA Access is about to start and spoilers are bound to begin to percolate the forums, I no longer trust myself to maintain an unspoiled existence. And since the game is a week away, and the moment I beat it is probably three weeks away, I think it's time to go into full media blackout mode. No visiting the BSN, no visiting comment threads on Dragon Age videos. No searching for Dragon Age on searach engines. Nothing.

 

So, after posting a "see you later" in the threads I frequent the most, I figured I could create a thread for the others who are beginning their media blackout as well, or thinking of doing so soon. Feel free to post your farewells to the forum until you beat the game, maybe some final hopes you have for what the game will be like when it comes out.

For people who are going on a media black out , there's going to be an update on the Keep this week.

There's going to be a new way to check  which world state gets imported in DAI , (not really complicated) but it may cause trouble for people who had created their tapestry before the update.

Anyway after the update it seems you need to change at least one choice (and change it back) so the Keep re record the whole thing and there's no problem.

I'm going to leave too. I surprised myself by having the strength not to watch todays twitch stream and usually I'm sucker for spoilers. I come here too often lol! But so far I've done an okay job of staying away from spoilers, even though it was minor (eg Viv's opinion on the mage rebellion) I would have rather not seen anything from the story/interactions at all,  hearing about this EA access thing does have me worried about spoilers. It's hard for some people to not post them in the titles. So it's probably better for me to head out too.

 

Thanks Reznore for the news on the Keep update, I'll probably tinker around with it just before I begin playing just to make sure everything is together.

The only way I'm spoiling myself further (other than the prologue stream today) is when the first major reviews come up, other than that it's lights out until my first playthrough is over

I'm starting my blackout on Wednesday. The X1 early access thing starts on Thursday, and I know people will be posting things from it, and I don't want any more of the story spoiled.

 

My blackout will also go past the 18th because I have midterms on the 17th and 19th.
