On my first playthrough, I go with my gut on major choices and go with what feels right for regular convos.  Gonna try to make my first Inquisitor more of a jokester than my first Warden and first Hawke because I always default to the boring diplomatic dialogue choices on my first playthrough.  I want to switch it up!   ^_^

After that, all my Inquisitors will have personalities all their own.  I've done it with ME, DA:O, and DA2.  Why not continue that in DA:I?   :P

With how great this CC is, I'll definitely be making an Inquisitor that looks like me  :D

Hmm...I don't usually put my personality into my characters though. I'm in a fantasy world where I can do anything, if I wanted to be myself, I'd play Real Life lol XD (Not putting down people who like to play as themselves, its just not my cup of tea)

I never play as me; all my characters have their own distinct personality, although there are a few traits that I do mimic my own (male, straight, hispanic - or Antivan, in this case). I'm planning on playing my Dalish as someone who has lived a life of trials and tribulations among the People, and the choices made will reflect a person who has an elven mindset. It's one of the appealing aspects of RPGs, and part of the lore that draws me to Dalish society and creating a character who is one of the People.

No.

Fantasy role-playing games allow me to be someone I'm not. I play "me" all the time, every day. Why would I do so for an escapist role-playing fantasy?

All my rpg characters are aspects of me, but none of them are ever the everyday me. Looks wise they are pretty far from me too, being usually female and non-human when the choice is given. Bonus points to every game that gives the chance to play a truly alien race :)

Sometimes yes, more often, no.

I wasn't really planning on it, but I ended up doing that... roleplaying tends to work better for me after I've actually seen what's possible in the storyline, so although I started with a Neutral character in mind, I wound up playing as a good guy who tried to help everyone possible.  If I ever get around to a second playthrough I might try to do something different, but I'm not so sure...

All my characters are based in a core aspect of my own personality. They are, in a sense, all me while still being their own persons. This was a nice middle ground I've between roleplay and self insert.
