This is mostly motivated by the CP, which makes me play some kits I would not ordinarily have played seriously before.
For example, this past weekend I played 10 games with the Collector Adept. I had a lot more fun than I expected to with the kit. He's capable of some very high spike damage, and is also very versatile with the seeker swarms providing DR and no-CD BE detonators. I consistently scored 2nd on gold against all factions. But one limitation that I felt was the DS cooldown which limits weapon choice a lot; DS explosion is one of the greatest fun that can be had with this kit but you need a light weapon since you can't hide the huge CD (though you can have DC share it, which helps). So it's either the arc pistol or hurricane really if you want good weapon damage and the power amp.
Another is the Jugg which I admit to playing just once or twice until this weekend because I always hated his slowness. But it turns out I can tank 2 banshees and 2 brutes simultaneously on gold and remain at full health (healing turret + 4 DR siege pulses). That's actually crazy fun and should be experienced by everyone at least once (turn your speakers down first). It's just a great feeling being "superman" (although turrets will still take you down pretty fast); I was on teams that would have wiped in the early waves but I was able to carry them effortlessly and quickly. But why wouldn't I continue playing him? I think it would get boring pretty quick, so I'll save him for occasional plat runs, etc.
