Reading through the parts where he was abused was a bit rough for me to get through. That hit a little close to home.

Never read the books but.. yeah.. uh i dont want to talk about my past.

I don't want to baby him, but I think it'd be cool if he and my inquisitor had a sibling-like relationship, as Cole strikes me as being significantly younger than the Inquisitor (as well as all of the other companions).

 

Haven't read Asunder, so my only knowledge of Cole comes from streams and stuff, but he seems delightfully weird.

I'm still reading Asunder but I'm trying to think about how I would feel if everyone said that I was going to be their little baby to take care of shelter from harm and, frankly, that would tick me off. I don't know his age range but I assume his is a young adult? He might be the type who needs reassurance or friendship but my Inquisitor has enough on her plate, she doesn't have the time to help Cole every time he falls and scrapes his knees.

 

Don't get me wrong, I like Cole but if I wanted a son, I would go out and adopt one. Says the only childfree person among her groups of firends. lol

Well with me its more of case that cole from what if know and heard of him inquisition is pretty selfless to the point he does not think about himself or does not mind that people will forget or hate him even if he helps them. 

 

This line of his spoke to me "It does not matter that they won't remember me. What matters is I helped" that shows me he is selfless but also he does not have anyone else looking out for him. So I will be his friend helping out those in need its great that is trying to bring smiles are happiness to other people but I want to help him smile once in a while instead of worrying if he is going to disappear or his friends leaving or forgetting him. 

 

Hell I recall Patrick saying if we do the right things we can see him smile, now I am not going to treat him like a "baby" after reading Asunder he is not a "child" but I will be his friend.

Gamers often have no life, so they're looking for something they lack in reality. It could be anything - a friend, waifu, sex doll, child.

Yeah he is an adult with a child like personality, however he has been on his own for the last years or so I think he can handle himself with out me babying him to much, I hope. Now, I will be his friend and help him learn about things in the world as he still a teenager or child like peronality but I doubt that I'll baby him like some want to do to Cole.

I see him more as an alien, than a child. Both children and aliens have to learn new things, but it's different.

True, they do have to learn new things but he took over a child's body that is why I said a child like personaltiy. As I believe, he was able too retaine memories from the dead boy he inhaibts, according to Asunder.

He gives me the creeps. I dont want him in my Inquisition if i can refuse to recruit him. If i cant then he'll just become the Ghost of the Skyhold (after Ghost of the Spire) confined to his quarters and hopefully everybody will forget about him the next day and he can retreat to the fade to cry for all eternity.

 

Geez just his face... Scary. I havent yet been able to imagine an inquisitor playthrough where i might actually use him for anything.

 

At the very least the only thing i could use him for is to have "mercy" for my prisoners. Saves me the time in executions:D

I don't think it has to do with the body he took. That body kept on growing normally, he is not some spirit stuck into the body of a child. By the end of Asunder he looked ~20. He still needs to eat, sleep and all of that. What i gather is that he is a mix of: past traumas+emotionally/socially awkwardness. Plus he spent the last 8 years dwelling in that tower, not talking to anyone but still creeping on everyone. He admits he no longer feels anything watching mages do everyday stuff, just curiosity. Sounds like something a psychopath would do. But at the same time, Cole is 100% empathy. I don't know, he is a complex character. Kudos to Mr. Gaider and Weekes.

I might say AWWW CARVER HAWKE IS MY BABY because I'm really fond of him in sort of a "awww you dumb baby" way, I'm not actually infantalizing him and want to pinch his cheeks and rub Desitin on his butt and tell him not to throw half eaten globs of food at the dog or anything.....

I would not say baby for me but more of a parental or adviser role towards Cole, I know Solas will probably fill this role

I have never read Asuner so I'm only going by what he looks like and what little I've read but...

 

 

HE'S JUST SOOOO CUUUUUTTEEEE and I am slightly unhappy he is not romanceable.

 

But he's sooooo cuuuttteeee. My inquisitor will be like his big brother and he will tuck Cole into bed and read stories to him and kiss him goodnight

I don't want to "baby" Cole, but I do want to wrap him in a blanket a little bit and keep him safe. The kid's been through a lot.
