I think people are suspecting the Reaver will be an ACE because of its ability to life steal and that class had some AOE capabilities in prior versions of the game. That being said, the DW Rogues have always been powerful for direct Damage dealings outshining any other class in that department. To be honest, I am very intrigued by the elementalist class of Mages in this game.

It seems like a lot is going to depend on gear and crafting as well in this game.

This is gonna be some fun!

Yeah, the "next GI" will not likely be a vanilla class, just as the GI wasn't. Truly OP kits were always the outcome of power creep.

Expect some "possessed Hurlock" or a Blood Mage - Rouge hybrid to be the kit of all kits.

It’s probably going to be a Reaver for a while (or some other Warrior with a decent DPS and survivability. Atm a Reaver seems to be the ace). But eventually people will max their manifests and get all the AAA-equipment and promote hundreds if not thousands of times. With all those extra attribute points* and cheesy gear, the best DW Rogue (an Assassin maybe?) will be able to dish out some ridiculous / broken single target DPS that everything else becomes pretty irrelevant.

*Even if you couldn’t upgrade attributes related directly to DMG / attack (Dex/Str/Mag), as it seems now, but still I can see that the best DPS monster will benefit most from all that extra HPs and Stamina, not forgetting Cunning which will benefit Rogues most if anything.

To be sure, especially if Cunning still effects Critical Hit Damage and there are any "craftables" which allow stacking of Critical Hit Chance, I could see Assassin or DPS focused Reaver, being highly played kits. I will stick with mages for starters, cuz ya know... Elves... and Magic... Ancient Lost Culture and Stuff... So, Cuz Lore-sons?

Pretty sure it's gonna be a dual wielding Rogue. While mages are usually OP in Dragon Age, they're also "slow". I always played mages in all my games, but I had a lot of fun with a DW Rogue in DA II which is light years faster than a mage. Everything dropped lightning fast and the battles were about 40% shorter than playing a mage. I don't see a tank being the DPS king so I'll stick with Rogue.

Hope they avoid 'power creep" this time around, but with microtransactions it's inevitable.

In my opinion the Assassine will have the highest burst but the Reaver will have the highest dps while played on the edge of dying.

How come everyone forget the Geth Engineer ? That guy was my most OP and fun class to play ... well right after the immortal Juggernaut

Anyhow on topic.

I will have to agree one of the rouge's will be the king of dps. Probably the one whit some sort of CC and high single target dmg.

The Reaver i think she will be much like the juggernaut.

I miss ME3 MP ... i should probably go have a spin for few plat's. I have spend a good 1k hours into the MP hope i get the same ammount of fun from DA:I

So we're really searching for a class that obliterates everything in hands of a skilled player but is otherwise really squishy?

More specifically, this class needs to be called a crutch and a noobtube more than any other.

But it was GI role until TGI entered the scene, and it was true about TGI.

I guess. Everyone was too busy spamming stims to remember what GI is.
