True. I think three elementalists that have unlocked barrier and one legionaire or Templar that unlocked fortress will be an insane combo.

i doubt every mage can get barrier

Faceless Reaper who unlocked the Elementalist said they they get barrier but it is not the first skill so it has to be unlocked. You can check it out in the EA Access thread.

You should check it out. I'm going to be playing day 1 and N7_SP3CTR3 will be joining as soon as we pick up a second copy. Until then we'll have to share.

 

OT: I'm thinking Assassin in this round of characters, next round? Who knows?

From the damage I've seen from things like Long Shot... I'm thinking it's one of the archers if it's not one of the mages.  Archers have been considered boring in the past DAI games but they were actually no damage slouches.  They just didn't have the burst kick of the berserker/reaver combo in DA:O.

In terms of DPS, a Rogue could be 'the next GI'. But we have seen that, unlike ME3MP, DPS alone isn't the way. The damage dealer, the tank and the support role seem to be equally important this time around.

Elementalist does get barrier, but it's the 2nd to last unlock in the middle row, so it will take a few points to get, and then the final ability is 50% boost on barrier damage taken.
