this is probably off topic here, but it's a kind of suggestion/question?

My dad paid $70 for Final Fantasy II for the SNES (now more commonly known as FFIV) in 1991, the day it came out.  .....

I just paid the same amount for DA:I for the deluxe digital package.

You mean your dad paid $70 in 2014 dollars? $70 in 1991 dollars would be over $120 today.

I was disregarding the inflation in my example, but yes.   He paid $70 in 2014's currency rate.  Going by your number, he would have paid over $120 in today's dollars for a cartage and a game manual.  I get a lot more, so I can't complain about the cost.  ;)

In Sweden (we do not have the euro) the psysichal copy of the PC-version costs about the equivalent of 60 US dollars and the download about 50. For consoles it's closer to 70 usd. But I don't mind paying that much since I rarely buy new games at all.

I preordered the Inquisitors Edition the very minute that it became available. I also ordered the collectors edition of Witcher 3. I will pay the higher prices for something that I already know that I enjoy based upon previous experience (and for the various extras included). Something unknown to me is another matter, and I usually wait and see how it is received. If I decide to buy it, but miss out on an enhanced edition, that's just the breaks!

I'll be paying around 60-70 euros so 75-87 dollars, the place where I went to reserve my game didn't give me exact price  <_<  Later I found place where I could get the game with only 53 euros for PS3 but I have already paid reservation price :(

It will be expensive but since it's Dragon Age it will be worth it. I don't usually buy games with full prices, I often buy them used with something around 10 euros so this very expensive for me. I only buy it for this price since I have waited for it so long time and I know I will play it years.
