People come to where I live because of tax.

 

Well

 

There isn't.

 

Because a packet of cigs is like £5 in the UK whilst over here its £1.50

 

Not to mentioned a litre of vodka is like eight quid.

 

Gibraltar is run of cigarette smuggling and booze people!

Any kind of tax above 25% is ridiculous.


Germany has a max income tax rate of ~55%.

That's a ton, but Germany's economy is one of the most stable in the world and college, school, etc are mostly paid for by the state.

High taxes have up and downsides.

But no large state could survive on a 25% income tax for long.
