Some people just can't get enough!
Not wanting 50-100% more shots from your Raider makes about as much sense to me as not wanting 50-100% more money in your wallet.

I'm fine with more shots - I'd just like to know they are really there when I need them - just like ze monny.

Yeah I don't get that. Just like more money, I'd rather have 'em and not know about 'em than NOT have 'em and know about (not having) 'em. "Messing up my rhythm"? 65 wat? Its called a pleasant surprise.
Best kit for Claymore is the infiltrator with any kind of stopping power, it's really all you need to destroy stuff. I enjoy it on Mysoup Female Infiltrator
Human soldier is pretty good as well. Infiltrators are the easiest IMO to get the RC down on.

I see. I rather call it "lag".
Q: How do you _______ with the Claymore?

Thank you. I like the last suggestion best, so I'll try that next. I did play a few waves with it on the KroSol today but the rest of the team really weren't fun to play with so I gave up mid-game. Not before inferno-nading and Claymoring a few Primes for fun though.

Guess my definition of heavy is different from yours.
You mean if it's too fat and heavy to fit in without doing some tearing, it must be too heavy? I agree.
Well then I guess I should take it out for a spin this evening. Recommend me a kit, or choice of kits.
Right away! How about FQE? I love that gun on her. It just feels right.
Or, maybe more beginner-friendly, human soldier double tap build is pretty straightforward.

I actually agree with catastrophy. I think I have my share of experience with the Raider, and I totally HATE when I get 3 or 4 shots out of it.
Rhythm is actually a very important thing, even though it sometimes is overlooked because it's not something you have to actively think about. Rhythm is the ability to know how long it will take till you have a fresh mag and can start shooting again. It is what enables you to understand if it's better to take soft cover or if you can get away with just staying in the open and mowing enemies down. It's the thing that allows you to make decisions, knowing how much time each of your actions will take. It's something quite subconscious usually, but is very important. Messing with that brings much worse consequences than the good you get out of +50% shots.
Most of the actions you (read: me, at least) take during the game are governed by muscle memory rather than completely conscious and reasoned decisions, and that's why something that messes with your habits messes up those actions as well, and that can have very bad consequences.
It is not that bad when you get a match when you can consistently get 3 shots out of her. Then after the first few waves you can kind of adapt your rhythm to that. But that's quite rare in my experience. Most of the times you get the 3rd shots like, once in 3-4 mag spent on average, and in a completely random and unpredictable way. This, is what I really hate. It takes my habits, my old and trustworthy rhythm and flushes it down the toilet. Result? I seem to make all kinds of bad decisions about where to go and when, and what to do in general, My reload cancels become very lacking, and I find myself in all kinds of unpleasant situations because of all that - resulting in me hitting the floor much more than I usually do. All that, to sometimes have +50% shots in my mag? Nah thanks, I'm good.

Ah yes, DPS. The single numerical value that somehow determines the true worth of a weapon. We have dismissed that claim.
Also, my GE one-shots Ravagers. Your opinion is invalid.
Quoted for much needed emphasis.
Edit: also worth adding. Which DPS are you talking about? Cause if it's single-clip DPS, aka burst DPS, I seriously doubt any of those can compete ![]()
Confession: I just had to go watch some of Feneckus' vids to hear the sound of the Claymore again. All this talking about it filled me with nostalgia XD

The Raider and Reegar are probably the only two that can outdo it in 1 clip
But if we're talking multiple clips then the Claymore falls short - except for the whole one-shot ravager thing ![]()
Although I bet a reload canceled claymore outdoes most shotguns using 2 clips. Sustained dps, not so much - but who has time to stay in one place?

Looks like you're answering yourself ![]()
Sustained DPS is not the strongest point of the High Lord, although it is still quite a strong point. The other selling points are what makes it the High Lord ![]()

Why let others answer me when I can answer me FOR them? Bwahahaha
I do like the claymore for its awesome stopping power - which is rivaled by only the Javelin (and Kishock I guess, for you hipsters), and for its coolness factor, which is above average.
Deep down in the darkest depths of my very being though, I know that the supreme lord of all shotguns is an evil one. A being so dark that it not only cheeses things, but it finely Grates them into dust afterward. What a depressing thought ![]()
And to stay on topic:
Q: What shotgun, if any, do I like MOAR than the clayMOAR?
A: The Piranha, but I do like the Wraith. A lot. Also a big fan of the Raider and the Venom. And the Crusader is starting to grow on me (but the Claymore still beats that one out...for now) ![]()

Most of the time I'd agree with this, but with the Raider, with how fast its RoF is anyways, those extra lag-shots don't really mess with me; you do your quick "BLAM-BLAM" and then instead of the next click reloading, you get another BLAM or two, usually only .002 seconds after the first two anyways. With, say, a Wraith or a Claymore, I can totally see how it would mess up your whole rhythm with reload cancelling and everything but with the Raider, for me at least, its just a win-win.
Although obviously since you only get those extra shots when its real laggy sometimes it doesn't matter whether the extra shots, in themselves, screw you up- and if the lags bad enough to have a 4-shot Raider, you're already probably having a bad time anyways.
