The thing can't get a OHK on shielded mooks even when put on the best weapon platforms in the game. It's just a wannabe shotgun, really. A good one, but still just a wannabe.

I don't think it's bad, but I have to think as to why I would ever use it. I can't think of anywhere that it fits better than either a Saber or BW, which both do similar things but better, and the Claymoar, which is around the same weight but obviously far superior in every single conceivably relevant way. It's probably nice on the AIU, but that would require me to play the AIU.

Plus I'm lolconsole, so it has that delay and just feels terrible to use.

Even the unpatched Crusader works nicely, the problem is that we were all spoiled by the Claymore, Raider and Wraith.

It's the same for other weapons, too. The Carnifex is a good, solid pistol... but compared to Paladin, Talon and Arc Pistol it loses in all categories.

Yeah I'm not saying it's bad, it's a fine gun. It's just not a shotgun. As you said, Saber and BW are closer relatives. And if you use it that way, I guess it's as good as a Saber, pretty much, so not a bad gun at all. It just... Doesn't go BOOOOM, you know?

Patched crusader >> claymore.

I, personally, do not like the Claymore. I would rather have the Wraith. Does pretty much the same thing, but you get an extra shot.

Human Soldier, TSol, Quarksman will give you a double barrel Claymore.

P.S. That was a nice reply.

Would that mean that you'd get extra shots in the Wraith, also? That would make it still better in my thinking.

I am not a big fan of single-shot weapons. I'm quite a cautious player, and my thinking is, "If I miss the first shot, what then?". I would much rather have something like the Mattock, the Harrier, the Valiant or the Black Widow... Something which does a fair amount of damage, but gives you some if you miss the first - just in case. I just don't find the Claymore nice to use, either. I don't think I have the right mindset to play a Krogan, and that is what people generally use it on, I think? I am BAD at playing Krogan. I'm either underestimating their shields and staying back and barely getting any points, or overestimating their health and shields and running into a crowd of enemies and dying. :)

Don't play krogan much, though I guess with most of my challenges done, I'm gonna do some experimenting soon.

That said, you wanna see Claymore shine, use it with asari. Huntress in particular can really make it shine, but vanguard and vanilla adept can make it sing as well :)

So you have the sexiest shotgun, packed on sexiest ass the galaxy can offer. Yes, it's as hot as it sounds.

Wraith would also get instant realod on those kits. But you would not get 2 nearly instant monster shots like the Claymore does.

Also Claymore is the most effective on the Krogan. It's the most effective on the forementioned Soldiers and Infiltrators. (especially AIU due to her cloak). Just master reload canceling and practice shooting with the Clay and you'll learn to love it.

I'll subscribe to the latter, but for me, the winner is clear cut :P

Don't much care for jiggly bum-bum personally. Blue booties all the way :)

I wish Wraith had the Claymore's boom factor or the Claymore had the Wraith weight and accuracy, that would be the perfect shotgun. Raider came close but its accuracy is garbage at anything other than close range unless you are using it on accuracy boosting kit.

As if Wraith and Claymore are not OP as **** already.

Sniper Rifles and Shotguns are supposed to be the most OP guns in every game and in real life as well.

I slap my Claymore on a Batdept. The idea of a big gun that goes BOOOOM on a kit that makes things go BOOOOM is very fitting.

I don't have the Batarian Adept. It's one of the few classes I'm missing, especially now I unlocked the Cerberus Vanguard, Quarian Marksman and Geth Trooper.

I MIGHT be only missing the Asari Adept, Awakened Collector and Batarian Adept.

I really don't understand this... lack of love for the Crusader.

I understand the support for the Claymore, the OHK, but IMO, the only reason to use Claymore over Crusader is when I'm too tired to aim. With the Crusader, I fight on mid range/melee only when I'm flanked. I'm flexible, nimble and can adapt on every encounter. A ravager/scion is bombarding the team from the other side of the map?

Chunk!

No problem. And I don't even have to move away.

Shieat! A Phantom behind a wall.

Chunk!

No head, no problem.

Oh look, I'm on glacier...

CHUNK!

Triple Kill!

An effin Pretorian firing its LASAR!

Chunk! Chunk! Chunk!

It's on its back, waiting for someone to scratch its belly...

And so on.

Granted, it's a matter of personal taste and feelings, but personally, I find the claymore...clumsy. For me at least.

Crusader is a shotgun I enjoy. I remember two-shotting a Scion on Silver with the QMI. :)

Unpatched Crusader sucks. And patched Crusader only works on host.

He's a boss-killer kit. If you want a crowd control guy with cluster nades, Drelldept is the go-to, but the Batdept (due to warp debuffing enemies) does sickeningly huge amount of damage in short spikes. The only downside is the Claymore reload slowing you down and making it hard to evade enemies at close range, but there's ways around that.

Unpatched Crusader doesn't suck. I use that on my Huntress and turns makes everything besides Geth Primes into paste. Off-host, it's a spotty gun, but it's stupendous on-host. The key is making enemies run towards you, not sideways.

I find using the Claymore a bit like using a Spitfire. Too big, too heavy... But it isn't as fun when you hold the trigger down. :(

Meh. I will still take the Claymore.
