Ex Cerb puts out some crazy damage to a couple of targets at a time. He's overall stronger than the Fury. Boss annihilator. He's absolutely a monster with an Adrenaline Mod. Plat viable too.

Fury still dominates though, because of the speed and multiple enemy damage she can (ahem) put out... if used properly she's nearly invincible.

IMO, they're both played best in a suicidal fashion. I can't rank one over the other.

Asari commando is my love for ever. Sexy, cool, deadly. Universal against any faction on any map at any range. Good against mooks and bosses. Self-sufficient, not dependent on ammo boxes. PERFECT...

I like the smashdept but the Fury kicks his ass in terms of TTK efficiency. She is a walking biotic bomb, also one helluva Raider platform.

In all honesty, the difference is not that huge. On glacier, the fury may be have a better TTK. And may be against a faction like cerberus.

 

Overall, the difference is not as big as people make out to be. I have played as a smashdept in a team with pretty good players using the fury and was more than able to keep-up in terms of TTK and efficiency. 

 

On a more general note, I have to mention the reliability factor. AF can get glitchy, especially off-host. Fury's dodge can suck off-host. Smashdept is WAY more reliable off-host, powers and dodge-wise.

Biotics and Tech Powers is what seperates Mass Effect from other shooters. (And yeah, the story, romance etc which all doesn't matter in MP.)

 

Human Adept is a BE machine, as is the Justicar. They both need an Acolyte for shield stripping though.

 

The Phoenix Adept can prime/lift/stagger even armored and shielded targets with Lash and the Singularity/Smash combo is a boss killer.

 

The Asari Commando is pretty good for headshot training but otherwise kinda boring.

 

Playing the Fury is an adrenaline rush. At least off host. If you can handle her dodging, then it's even better than the Asari one cause you can phase through walls and objects. Combined with her shield/barrier leech she is pretty good at surviving while putting out lots of damage. The only adept who can still prime targets when dead.

 

Drell Adept ... meh, he's 2/3 Justicar. I prefer the Asari to him.

 

Volus Adept can make for a good debuffer and shield spammer but the moment you start to use Stasis for headshots/BEs, you become vulnerable. Don't like it much.

 

I actually never played the Batarian Slasher but from the looks of it ... nothing terribly new.

 

Krogan Shaman is my just for fun adept. Specced for barrier damage he runs in, sends everything flying or at least staggers them, then finished it with a Warp to the face.

 

The real killer though is the Awakened Collector Adept. Higher biotic damage than all the other adepts, DR and insane spike damage. Combined with a weapon with warp ammo he can chew through a spawn in seconds. DS, DC, 1-2 BEs, then hose the rest down with weapon fire. Or skip the BEs if you're just up against mooks, since those will die quickly enough anyway. ^^

 

For me it is ACA > Fury > HA > Justicar > Phoenix Adept > Commando > Krogan Shaman > Drell. In terms of fun and how often I play them.
