Personally I don't particularly care if Hawke's LI shows up. Would it be nice? Sure. But I'm of the opinion that they don't need to be joined at the hip.

yea i like to izzy with my hawke. dont know if happen. but i think i read somewhere my have been just specalution on the guy have. but he think bethany or carver be around skyhold if alive. so i say yea it might happen

I'd love to see my Hawke and Merrill being all adorkable and madly in love but it probably wouldn't fit the ridiculously serious setting.

I'm also going to be disappointed if I don't see Anders with him, but I'm trying to get myself ready from the probable inevitability of that.

Personally I would prefer neither Hawke or Isabela appear since I would rather they were off enjoying life together.
That said, I'll be glad to see Hawke and even happier still if Isabela shows up with him.

My ideal situation would be finding hawke along with Merrill and his little brother or sister. What they where up to before the events of inquisition happen would be interesting. As for the other dragon age 2 characters, as far as I know we will be going back to the free marches to pick up varric so I wouldn't rule out seeing Aveline keeping law and order in lowtown. Sebastian has probably returned to starkhaven to make a grab for power after hawke refused to kill anders. I really hope anders returns, he's a flawed but otherwise great character. Fenris is probably spring cleaning his mansion. Its been ten years living there and I bet those corpses hawke left are starting to stink.

ummm I was making a joke as to the fact that then never even mention or reference you LI in Awakening.  And if what we all are assuming and you find Hawke in the fade.  Well there is a good reason Hawke would be alone then.

That's your first mistake. Never make jokes on the BSN. They will flay you alive.

Considering both Fenris and Merrill have been hinted, it wouldn't surprise me if your LI from 2 were to appear in some way. Anders won't for me as I killed him and Isabella ran off with the tome, Merrill and Fenris are the only two I'd really like to see anyway tbh. Aveline would be nice but it's very doubtful.

What really awesome to see is if your warden for DAO did not die he shows up along side Your Hawke and said love interest with maybe your brother or sister as the your wardens second or something. Perhaps if you completed the witch Hunt doc you get to see him with morrigan or she tells you where he might be.

I like the idea of Isabella turning up with my Hawke. My Inquisitor is a bit dour and would probably find her quite abrasive. Can see Cassandra bristling if he's initiated romance.

I'd love to see Hawke's LI show up with them.  I do think it's unlikely, but that would be an awesome moment.  I do hope we at least get a mention of them from Varric and Hawke at some point.

It would probably annoy some people, I'd rather see some random references from Hawke rather than an actual appearance. 

 

Especially if a snarky Hawke who romanced Isabela or Anders were asked about the Qunari uprising or the Mages/Templars and had to sigh and give some "it wasn't me, it was my girlfriend/boyfriend" explanation.  There's just too much humour potential in there to waste the reference on something romantic!

The end of DA2 does always say that your LI never left your side, so it is possible.
