I just started another playthrough and was romancing Alistair, Leilana and Zevran all at once. In the end, i choose Alistair.

 

So i went ahead and got to the Landsmeet. Since I want to use Loghain this time, I had Alistair and Anora married and blah blah blah.

 

I thought I can continue to be his mistress and I even suggested to Anora who is ok with it. But then Alistair seem to be so angry that I spared Loghain I think the relationship must have ended.

 

But in the keep, I can keep Loghain alive and yet romanced Alistair at the same time (and choose to be his mistress). Is this a bug?

 

Are such options allowed? If so I would like to import:

 

1) Spared Loghain but he died killing Archdemon

2) Romanced Alistair

3) Remained his mistress

 

Do tell me if this is not ok because although the keep allows me, I do not want a buggy playthrough in DAI.

I know this isn't an answer, but I'm hoping Inquisition will recognize a bad worldstate even if the autosolver does not.

Have you tried other dialogue options to see if Alistair won't push you away?

You can't romance Alistair and keep Logain alive, if you got such it was a bug.

Wait, the keep LET you do that?  O.o  Alistair HATES you if you let Logain live.

I think he eventually forgives you if Loghain dies against the Archdemon.

If you spare Loghain, you cannot remain is mistress. If you're able to get it in the Keep, its a bug. If Logain does die, Alistair at the end will be sorry for how he acted, but you cannot stay in the relationship. Once he ends it at the Landsmeet, its over permanently

I know in one play-thru I romanced Al the whole game, but chose this.. Alistair marry Anora.. let Loghain live/join Grey Wardens and then had my warden die killing Archy (no DR with Miss M)

Anora gave the eulogy at the funeral, Alistair was still mad even unto death.... I don't even remember him being at the funeral..although maybe he stood off to the side somewhere.

 

So I doubt he would retain a lover who let Loghain live...

I've never been able to bring myself to do this yet. I need to eventually, for completion's sake. But I'm usually too fond of Alistair. Loghain's dialogue with Anora right before his execution breaks my heart, though. If i were Alistair, I don't think I could be with someone who chose to spare someone who tried so hard to destroy you both.

Same, i finished both games 5 times (and dlc's a couple of times)so i can see all content, but i can never bring myself to execute Alistair so i had to look it up on youtube i'll force myself to make at least one of the world states where alistair is dead

There's actually a few bugs relating to Alistair's romance in the Keep.  It lets you remain his mistress even if you didn't find Goldanna despite completing that quest being a prequisit for that senario.

Logain killed the Warden's, the people Alistair first really thought of as family.  Add that into your lover knowing all this and still insisting on keeping their murder alive. Don't know about you, but I'd not forgive someone even after they died.

but he was the one who said "im the only woman he has been with and he wants to keep it that way", then not long after, I convinced him to have a threesome with Isabela and then he has Anora as queen besides him but refused to be with me any more.

 

then when i died, he still angry. that is bad!

I actually managed to stay Alistairs mistress with living Loghain. But it was my first playthrough and I have no idea, what I did, or if it is a bug. Only thing I know is that Loghain killed the archdemon.

I ended DA yesterday and I was suprised Alistair dumped me, so I was googling, what was I doing wrong and ended up here. I left the comment here for people looking for answers.
