Maybe I'm not very skilled at all weapons, but there are definitely some better weapons than others.

You think every weapon has a character that makes it better than all other options? Or did bioware just put in a bunch of **** weapons to agitate people with the RNG.

Predator is actually decent for a common.  Shuriken is hands down the worst.

I like the Raptor better than some other sniper rifles. It's light, comes with lots of ammo, and has a low hipfire penalty. I use it with a click macro though.

Vindicator. No other answer even comes remotely close to that sad sack of fail. Recoil is crazy for such a small burst (I swear, the argus feels more stable when I use it!) and the damage? I'd rather just use the avenger! and it's ammo reserves aren't nearly what you'd expect. It's only saving grace is being light - and the avenger is lighter anyways.

The weght of a Hurricane, recoil of an Argus, ammo capacity of a Harrier, accuracy of a Falcon, and the hitting power of a Shuriken.

 

I don't quite get this logic - why would it have burst fire if it didn't have recoil?

 

Also, LOL at the "hitting power of a Shuriken" - it has twice the DPS and it's much better against armor especially. It's a pretty good weapon from close range, it's just outclassed by the OP URs.

But really, the worst pistol is probably the predator. Which is still lulzy.

Some of you guys really need to get out of Maxed URs Land and stop judging weapons as if 1000 DPS is the bare minimum of acceptable.

 

The Raptor, Incisor and Hornet have decent DPS for non-URs, Incisor especially.

 

The Predator and Vindicator aren't great, but they really don't deserve to be listed among the worst either. Hell, Predator has more DPS than the Carnifex or Phalanx if you can shoot fast enough.

 

Worst weapons would be things like Shuriken, Avenger, Viper and Scimitar. Weapons with terrible 400ish DPS with no special utility to make up for it.

Yes of course, if you "cheat" with a macro, then it becomes decent. Otherwise it really is a pain to use. I´m not judging  btw, I ´m a big fan of my Automattock .

 

I´ve always disliked the burst fire AR. So for me, it´s Valkyrie, Argus and Vindicator to the trashcan.

I like the Incisor on the TSent, and the Viper is decent with the SI.

You don't need an autofire macro to fire at 400RPM (Raptor's max ROF). You're not doing anything beyond normal human limitation. Just making it more convenient.

 

 

Now, using an autofire macro to effectively double the magazine capacity of a Collector Sniper Rifle, that's a bit above normal human limitation. And makes the CSR pretty awesome.

The Hornet isn't too bad on a Turian Soldier. Even on long range. Compared to the Hurricane it's utter crap but I don't think that's an argument.

 

The Incisor is surprisingly effective on the Drell Assassin. You don't need Phasic ammo, you can go with something that adds more damage and I think that helps quite a lot. Pretty good at crowd control with Cryo ammo, too. Of course, with a Black Widow you would have killed everything instead of just freezing it in place.

 

Avenger, Katana, Predator, Shuriken, Vindicator, Phaeston, Phalanx, Scimitar, Raptor, Argus and Krysae are simply no fun to use and I can't bring myself to earn 140k points with each ... at least not again.

I vote for Shuriken, it's painful to use that gun above Gold, the Predator is a close second though.

Surprised the Katana has only been mentioned once now.  Yes, it's a common, but it's pretty terrible even taking that into account.  I'd rank the Scimitar above it, if only for the RoF.  I'd rank every other shotgun above it.

Geth Spitfire: Weight is rediculous, Movement speed penalty, terrible versus Armor. Only a couple of Soldiers are somewhat decent with it. Oh, and it's an Ultra Rare!

The Avenger, Shuriken, etc, are your starting weapons, so you can expect a lower performance. But the more Rare weapons should be more potent, given how long it can take to get the Ultra Rares.
