I took the CSR to platinum once with the SI and will never do it again, not due to it's bad but because with Incindiary IV it was just so damn OP it made it boring.

I just ran that for the first time in long time and thanks to you for the memory jog. Even with my scrubby non sniping ass, it is pretty devastating. CSR, even though I don't really care for it, can be ridiculous.

Simple : headshots. It isn't an EZ mode I win weapon but it has it's niche and does it exceedingly well. It's interesting that the number 1 complaint people have about it wasn't even mentioned by you. All of your other complaints about it are L2P issues.

"Has it's niche" is a fancy way of saying "It's only good for specific situations". I can put a smart-choke on my piranha and cover any conceivable situation short of long range and I'm not gonna be using a SHOTGUN for long range. There's not much left for me to "L2P" seeing as how I've been playing this game for 2-3 years.

Not trying to be too antagonistic here, but just because I hate a gun doesn't mean it's the worst of its type. I don't like like the Argus, but I've seen it used to wreck a game. Don't care much for the PPR, I use it from time to time, but again that doesn't make it the worst AR in the game.

Plus, you don't have to worry about armor DR or Smart Choke, so you can take the Omni Blade without gimping your weapon performance even a little bit.

It should be noted that the smart choke does work on the graal. It's not necessary as it is on most other shotties, but it does tighten the spread and allow for those extra long headshots.

 

The number 1 question h​ere is......why take the Graal? Why go through the trouble of lugging around that hunk of metal that requires me to charge it up, factor in travel time and have another option to deal with guardians......when I could just use the piranha, raider or reegar and annihilate anything stupid enough to get in front of me?

These "why use X when Y is better" arguments are stupid. Especially when X is good, as well.

Get gud and stop using the reegar, the actual worst weapon in the game.

Here you go afgncaap7, this is a pug match I just played, just for you.  It was a completely random team.  I was not the host.  The game was Hydra/Geth/Gold, which is a relatively sizable map, with a lot of open space, and the potential for lots of Geth BS:

 

 

These guys didn't derp around either, and objectives were done lickity-split, which accounts for the 16 minute completion time.  I feel that I should make mention of the fact that, excluding myself, you were an all-biotic team vs Geth, which many would say is an inherent disadvantage.  If any of you guys are reading this, you are the true BotB.  Outstanding work, gentlemen.

 

I do apologize for not reaching 20 headshots this game, as I was having fun with fire explosions.

There's not much left for me to "L2P" seeing as how I've been playing this game for 2-3 years.

 

It seems there might be.  Hosting issues are the only things which would ever put me off using the Graal personally, but if you can't use the CSR you genuinely have technical L2P issues, even after all this time.  So do I, so I'm not picking a fight. It's beastly.

There are a few reasons I dont like the Collector Sniper...I understand it's power at melting things when properly used ..but the things that annoy me about it are:

 

Limited range....we will use Hydra for example...standing halfway on the stairs near the lz..if something spawns in the back area near the lookout glitch..you can't reach it

 

Rate of fire--which causes excessive over heating..basically, you spend the entire match glued to / staring at the ammo counter

 ^^ I know to fire in bursts..but that too gets annoying...         ^^^ even with the lancer /csmg / ppr..I dont have to                                                                                                                                              constantly stare at the counter

 

what would have been really cool is if using ammo extending gear..like Barrage or even the weapons extended clip mod actually increased the amount of ammo..but then again I understand it was about balancing the gun...

 

 

 

 

edit: I am not calling it a bad gun or even 1 of the worst ( from the topics title)  It is very powerful..& I am one of those people that also enjoy hip-firing it....

        I am just saying it is a tricky gun to get used to....and at its lower levels can be really frustrating due to amount of ammo

Graal can be fired while running. All charge weapons have this huge advantage. Why am I the only one to ever point this out. I love charge weapons because I can play even more aggressively.

I fire it at stuff even with no enemies around because you can never have too many spikes sticking out of everything.

Ahem.... allow me to summarize this post:  I don't like Gun A because it's only good for specific situations.  I prefer to use Gun B, which is only good for specific situations.

Hm...more impressive than I remember. Still empties in seconds, still has limited range, still not interested in it.
