yup omg boobies are evil. It's just boobs people need to get over the shame of female's body. It's all social construct that boobs need to be covered. Label and, all. Some society doesn't cover women boobs. It's not mature to show boobs but it's immature to treat boobs as something that are shameful.

Well seeing as how DA is based on western society I don't see how that's really relevant.  Its less an issue of shame, and more one of intimacy.

it's more about people's reaction to it. It's a game and showing boobs or not is not about titilation. It's a narration with the romance scene. And if man can show it then so can women. People just need to get over themselves. Unless the game does the Witcher thing where women naked while the guy has pants on because it's gay c just to see a man naked. That's immature. Just boobs in itself doesn't determine the level of mature of a game but how they present it.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with nudity.  I also don't think there is anything wrong with not wanting to see nudity.  This is one of those situations where no one is right and neither side is going to convince the other that they are wrong.

 

Personally, I'm glad that it's in the game.  Do I need it?  Nope.  But do I enjoy it in my fantasy stories?  Yep. 

 

Fortunately, it's optional content.

Probably not, romance dialogue and interaction in BioWare games, and games in general to be fair, is generally hit or miss.

 

Furthermore, the romances scenes are usually portrayed as the culmination of the romance arc, and therefore a pay off for participating in the romance content.

For one, titillate is a pretty great word. Secondly, it's not necessary. It doesn't need to be anything other than entertaining. Anyway, this is all kind of irrelevant. If it's tastefully done and the character isn't depicted as mindless eye candy in some gratuitous digital carnal show, then I don't really see the problem.

well said. Sometimes people forgot that it's a game. Not everything is a social statement. People find it entertaining so it's there. No need to explain why it needs to be titillating. There are games without it just as there are games with it.

Scenes that make no sense are jarring; if the scene requires nudity to make sense, then it should have it (either that or make a scene that requires no nudity to make sense).
