So, you decided tell us we're wasting our time...by wasting yours and ranting at the posters in the Feedback section.  I hope you realize how that sounds.  

 

Try to imagine, if you can, having very few characters that are your sexuality in any/all video games out there.  Or your gender being treated as as minority time and time again.   Judging from your post, I'm betting that if you were in the position of some the LGBT and female fans of the games, you'd be even more expressive and more passionate in your views than you are now with your frustration with a small amount of the fanbase here on the forums.

 

I've played BioWare games for over 16 years, long before they had any LGBT characters.  I started in 1998, with the first Baldur's Gate.  It's a very nice bonus that I'm glad that BioWare has done, but certainly not the sole reason I play.  I know of several other posters that are the same way.

 

Also, any accusations of playing this game for the sex scenes is laughable at best, and contemptible at worst.  Most of us here are legal adults in our perspective countries and know how to get a hold of games to play just for sex scenes, so please ease up on the condescension.

 

You're brand new here, so perhaps you haven't spent much actually reading the forums.  The character fan threads talk about a lot more than just romances with the characters.  Mages versus Templars are a very common topic there in the Story forums, as well as spoilers related to the prologue that I'm avoiding.  

 

The Scuttlebutt is full of threads about reviews, gameplay changes and tactics.  I guess you've also missed all the threads were folks were talking about non-LI cameos we'd like to see, different non-human non-Li companions, the Favorite Friendship arc thread, the tactics ideas and all the dozens of threads that have naught to do with sex or romance in this sub-forum alone?  

 

You seem to have a laser-focus on the things you hate.  That can't be good for you at all.  My advice is to try not to be blindsided by your frustration and find threads you enjoy posting in.   Coming into threads to rant at posters is cathartic and I can understand being frustrated with some of the fanbase, but it doesn't do you or anyone else any good to get that upset over it.

Forgive me for being lazy, but I don't have the links handy.  EA said back in 2011 that they never plan on releasing a toolkit.  That wouldn't be a huge obstacle, except without one, mods are extremely tough close to impossible to do for the Frostbite engine currently.  There is one for Battlefield 3 that took a year to do.  It doesn't add meshes, or textures.  It just gives a nice saturation to the colors of the game.  Even then, last I checked, the latest patch for BF3 broke the mod anyhow and the site no longer has the link available for download.   A quick google search will confirm all of the above.  

 

If someone mods it in, it's going to be a long time.  As the engine is more used, it'll probably be cracked and folks will start finding a way to mod.  I'm pretty damned sure it won't be anytime soon though.

 

For the record, I also don't care one way or another about the nudity.  I don't care if I see fade to black, or more, or not, just a lack of creepy underwear sex is all I ask.

It may be not the sole reason for you to play but from you posts I can easily say that you are way too offencive towards people who thinks other way and you are taking this whole LGBT thing to serious. Let me remind you once more time that this is a game and it hasn't any connection to real life in any aspect.

I wasn't raging at you, merely wondering why you're so upset.  If you don't like those threads, then just disregard them.  It's easy enough.   I do it everyday.  Life's too short, you know?

 

If you think I spend too much time talking about LGBT issues, then why you even bother to read my posts?  Those are the things I'm interested in.  No one is asking you to even pay attention to those threads.  I'm not asking you to care, and neither is anyone else in those threads asking for you to care.  And before you say you don't, you obviously do care enough to read those threads and my posts.  I'm just saying, it seems like an awful lot of energy to expend on something you hate and feel is a waste of time.  

 

My biggest reason for playing is the friendship and the characters.  You don't know me, so please don't put words in my mouth, nor intent in my heart where it isn't there.  You should probably take your own advice and not rage at strangers in threads you hate.   For the sake of the thread, I'll just stop this conversation right here.  The OP was answered anyhow.  You can ignore me using the feature on the forums.

What I wonder is why you seem to be offended by the existence of topics that you're not interested in. Feedback is for the game as a whole, and all of what you mentioned are important parts of the experience to many. And topics about the story are usually in, well, the story section; mechanics topics are generally in Scuttlebutt.

According to a friend of mine, there was basically scenes that had (non-explicit) signs of cunnilingus (Sera was in those shots) and fellatio from someone (no clue.)  Plus, if you notice, the "partial-nudity" part of the rating from previous games has been changed to simply "nudity."

 

I have to say I'd be more interested in BioWare depicting more of the sex then straight up nudity.

 

The fade to blacks annoy me more than seeing characters in their underwear afterwards.  Just something tasteful to show that the two characters are totally into each other like the ME1 sex scene or Liara's scene in ME3

 

In those Shepard and Liara kiss and caress each other and you know that they are both enjoying themselves & then the fade to black before it turns into porn.

 

The DA sex scenes have always been very tame in comparison, neither character has much time to show (physically)  however much they care for/ are in lust with, the other before the fade to black.

 

Animations in games just aren't good enough to breasts properly, in the Witcher Triss' hair looked more alive then her breasts, which made the whole scene really bizarre for me.

 

Maker/Goddess/all the pantheon of Gods only knows what a penis would look like in a game with an engine that can't even do breasts properly.

 

I'd much rather longer, tasteful sex scenes that show enough flesh to let you know that the characters are naked and an ass or two is always welcome.

Incorrect.  All three of those threads offer feedback. 

 

ETA:  Obviously these things are important to posters if they are the biggest threads in the feedback section.  If they aren't important to you, then I would suggest posting in the threads that are important to you.

That's Battlefield, main attraction is the online play, modding that is usually a big no-no.  This is Dragon Age Inquisition, one of the first major games on the engine.  People will break it for modding.

Oh, I'm sure they will.  I'm figuring it's about 12-18 months away from getting some mesh and texture based mods.  I'm not going to anticipate mods much before then.  I do know that all EA games are going to be released on DICE from here on out, so that might help speed up the process.   More games on the engine=more access to the engine for the modders to dig into.

I like mods, but I certainly hope not so long.  But thinking about it, you might be right.  A few months for the playthrough hope to die down, few more moths for people to break in, and a few more to teach the rest.

The fact that it's an RPG means people want it to be more like real life, not less. That's not very hard to understand.

 

I see you have a problem understanding basic concepts related to posting on these forums, especially posting in the 'feedback' section. When discussing something we don't like/would like to see in the game, we are not required to list all the things we do like about the game as well. Hell, if we're only complaining about one thing, then for all you know we love every other thing about the game!! Also, when you get the impression that someone would only play DA:I for the sex scenes and homosexual companions, then:

 

1. They're probably joking. You know, things that mostly happy people do.
2. They are praising the sex scenes and LI choices as one additional reason to love the game, not the only one.

Talking about only one subject does not guarantee it's exclusivity in a person's mind. They might not mention it, but there are probably plenty of other things the do like about the game. 

 

Finally, your eyes probably need checking, because just yesterday I saw a relatively large thread devoted to thanking and praising Bioware for all their hard work thus far. There are also many other topics involving things like speculation and discussion of story and characters (you know, in the Story, Campaign, and Characters section). Perhaps you should take a broader look at the forums and it's denizens before judging us, y'know?
