It's kinda funny how Outlast goes the other way and has only male nudity. And the interesting thing is that it's used as an element of horror, not sexiness. It worked really well. It's scarier when the wacko whos trying to kill has his d**g hagging out. It's really threatening.

Play TW2. I'm not sure how difficult you realize animating someone taking their pants off in a video game, but it's a programming nightmare and wouldn't look right. The best CDPR was able to do was take off Geralt's belt. He isn't a Sorceress like Triss, so he can't just magically take his clothes off. We also never see his pants on when he in the actual act of the sexual intercourse. The camera is framed in such a way to give us the illusion that he is not wearing pants.

 

CDPR has already admitted to handly the sex cards in TW1 poorly and they were not implemented correctly. The fact people continue to hound on this when that game was released seven years ago...

 

What's so funny about CDPR willing to do what few others will do? BioWare included.

 

Again, there will be nudity somewhere between ME1 and TW2. It will be short and sweet and show some butts and breasts. Anything more with romance and you are getting dangerously close to receiving an AO-rating. CDPR pushes it as far as they possibly can go.

She could have magically taken his clothes off too or it could have faded to black and come back when they were undressed, or in scenes with a prostitute they're already "having sex" and the girl is always naked but he's wearing his dingy grey pantaloons. (and yes you see the pantaloons unless we're playing two different versions) That aint no technical limitation, that's shying away from male nudity right there.

Im more than a little disgusted that they have gone this route. They claim they are being more equal, and then they go naked boobjobs on Cass. They also said, they would be tasteful like liaras love scene in me3, butt noooooooooooooooo they go similar to witcher style, so teenage boys can have ****** ****** material.

My respect for them ,just took a major dive.

You guys complaining about the lack of male nudity in games are griping at the wrong people. Showing full frontal(of either gender) is just about a guaranteed AO(adult only) rating from the ESRB. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo will not allow AO rated games to be published on their systems and most US retailers will not sell an AO rated game in their stores, in other words, receiving an AO rating is a death sentence for games.
So if your tired of seeing lots of cocoanuts but no bananas in your games, take it up with the ESRB.

The problem is that BioWare insists on having rendered sex scenes. If they would just do fade-to-black, it wouldn't be an issue. But as it is, characters having full intercourse, and then waking up with their underwear on is ridiculous.

 

I agree with this.

 

If you're going to have a fully rendered romance scene, the characters should either be nude or the nudity should be implied and obscured by camera angles and lighting. It would be a bit jarring to see characters roll out of bed fully dressed in battle armor.

It would only be unequal women were the only ones to been sense naked, but as far as I understand it we get to see some male nudity too.

 

I haven't seen the screenshot, but my assumption would be is that it is from the post sex scene so there is proper context for the nudity.

 

Would you prefer if Cass had manged to get her bra back on for the post sex scene? 

 

All nudity is not bad & all nudity is not masturbation material. 

 

This is a mature game, let's all be adults here.

I agree. Context is key for these sorts of things.

 

While I doubt we'll see a penis (there are apparently rating issues with that) than I hope at least we see some male ass to balance things out.

 

Otherwise, as you said, it's just titillation.

Literally no one is asking for full-frontal male nudity. I'm not, at least.

 

I'm just saying if you render a woman's bare ass, you should do the same with the men. We shouldn't get any of this "Fully nude woman, but dude is in his undies/long johns" nonsense.

So I don't mind sharing now that they have released this information that I have a friend who works at ESRB and she confirmed to me that both Sera and a female elf Inquisitor were topless in Sera's romance as well as a shot of Dorian nude from behind in the romance scene of his that she saw.  She also saw a scene of Iron Bull and a male dwarf and said that that scene started romantic and ended up humorous with no nudity from either character.
