Well, the thumbnail for that Iron Bull video definitely made it look like his rear bumper will be shown.

Probably in the non dwarf version because he stays dressed in the dwarf vid.

There's another video of his romance up?

Dante's Inferno has a lot of things lol

XD

Turns out I wasn't actually seeing the thumbnail correctly. It's so difficult to tell when he's already half-naked.

Also, I don't think that video showed the full cutscene? Maybe it did.

I'm fairly certain it did. It's just a ftb with a lulzy moment then they meet up afterwards fully dressed.

I guess they did have trouble with Bull's size differences. That's fair enough.

So Iron Bull's scene is different for other races?

Pretty sure Bull wasn't even available for dwarves originally due to animation issues but Epler worked on the scene so they put it in.

One would think the scenes would be different then no? I'm just guessing *shrug*

Edit: fail on my end. Sorry XD

John Epler was the one who worked on it, but yeah I would think that Dwarf romance with Iron Bull might be different from the other races because of that.

I don't think that scene is the only IB sex scene...so dwarves may yet see more, who knows.

I've also seen the Cass shot and I didn't think it was gross. There is a huge difference between taking the female form and making it ~~sexy for boys~~~ and presenting it naturally, and it seems like they are going for the natural one. Of course I've seen one screenshot, but so far no problems with me, and I'm very picky about this stuff.

I've never understood the whole, 'Full frontal nudity is okay as long as it's monsters thing' game rating systems use. It's kind of creepy, tbh. It almost sends the message that nudity=demonic or something.

Anyway, I for one am very happy that Bioware has moved away from underwear humping and clothes magically reappearing after sex scenes thing somewhat. It's a welcome change. I only hope there's plenty of partial male nudity as well, to be fair. ^__^

Its super creepy! It's like "naked bodies are okay when they are unnatural distorted perversions that will destroy you, but ones belonging to adults with agency and engaging in consensual activities are TOO MUCH!!!!!"

I don't know about y'all, but I'm a parent and I'd rather my kid see a topless, happy woman than a Broodmother, lmfao.

Well he's 5 so I mean, ideally not either.... But it just seems like some messed up views on bodies/sexuality/violence. Shrug.

I never understood the uproar about showing boobs but nothing towards violence other than the occasional people trying to use it to ban games

I loved that line. Can't wait to hear the delivery of it at some point. I'm not really into boobs (or women) so I don't really have an opinion on how hot or gross she may have looked, but that line along with how happy she looked in the moment definitely assuaged any lingering doubts I had about the nudity being salacious. I definitely feel like they're going to be done in a mature, thoughtful, and enhancing way.

Haha, yeah, totally a relic of the puritanical American stuff. People enjoying their bodies = bad. Which is how so much sex/nudity gets presented in violent contexts, which is just like...why...do...you...think...that's...better....??

At any rate, there are certainly a lot of ways to criticize the way nudity is presented in some games, but Dragon Age is looking awesome so far.

I'm glad they went the nude route. Although I could careless about these scenes in general, It's better this way. The underwear thing was very awkward, and the crafty placed shadows from ME3 weren't compelling either.

I care about believability more than anything. I don't need to see everything, but what I see must be believable. Having said that, I would like to see somewhat more "daring" scenes than Bioware has done in the past.

You guys complaining about the lack of male nudity in games are griping at the wrong people. Showing full frontal(of either gender) is just about a guaranteed AO(adult only) rating from the ESRB. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo will not allow AO rated games to be published on their systems and most US retailers will not sell an AO rated game in their stores, in other words, receiving an AO rating is a death sentence for games.
So if your tired of seeing lots of cocoanuts but no bananas in your games, take it up with the ESRB.

Not true.  If there were a scene of a guy who was just lounging around naked, like Triss in the first scene of TW2, it wouldn't be an AO rating.  Similarly, if they had just panned down in the Cassandra shot and shown both of them fully nude, it wouldn't be an AO rating.

If a guy were.....er, 'ready for action' or actually in action, then yes, it would be an AO rating.  But showing a fully nude male will not get an automatic AO rating.  It's about the context in which he's being shown.

Although, again, I don't need to see full frontal nudity in my games nor do I expect Bioware to be ones to include it in their games.

It's like the difference between an R and a NC-17 rating here in the states.  For a NC-17 rating, there has to be sexual activity and usually the presence of a turgid member.

Exactly.  But, I do remember back in the 90's when people would automatically freak out if there were rumors of a penis in a movie because they expected it to get a NC-17 rating based on that alone.  Now, it's not uncommon for full-frontal male nudity in the U.S. and almost all of those movies carry an R rating (which is the equivalent of an M rating from ESRB).

The ESRB rates interactive media more sternly than say the MPAA. A PG 13 movie could easily be a M rated video game, and vice versa.
