The ESRB rates interactive media more sternly than say the MPAA. A PG 13 movie could easily be a M rated video game, and vice versa.

If there were a scene of a guy who was just lounging around naked, like Triss in the first scene of TW2, it wouldn't be an AO rating. Similarly, if they had just panned down in the Cassandra shot and shown both of them fully nude, it wouldn't be an AO rating.
If a guy were.....er, 'ready for action' or actually in action, then yes, it would be an AO rating. But showing a fully nude male will not get an automatic AO rating. It's about the context in which he's being shown.
Although, again, I don't need to see full frontal nudity in my games nor do I expect Bioware to be ones to include it in their games.

that is an impossible task. As we've been discussing on this very thread, there aren't really any games with full frontal nudity.
That is not necessarily because of the ESRB, it could also be because full frontal nudity is rare in media in general. Particularly in modern media, media was less shy in the 80's when films like Terminator, were all like, look people are naked, deal with it.
Only recently has it become possible to render people fully nude in games (without them looking like sex dolls) and now all forms of media are less quick to have full frontal nudity.
If we have today's level of technology in the 80's, then I'm pretty sure Schwarzenegger's penis would've been rendered in the Terminator 2 game.

There was a pc game in the early 2000s i think it was named couples. that was one of the 1st to have full frontal and sex. ine aime was basicaly to have a relation ship. i think you plated as either gender but could only be hetro.
this was waaay back in dreamcast days.

After seeing this image, I am really nervous. I hope Bioware handles this tastefully, though very few video games ever do.
I'm glad with the boobs thing, as long as they treat the males equally. Equal objectification for everyone.
Well, we clearly see the Male Inquisitor topless as well, so it is equal.
The only things they will not show are penises and vaginae, so equal in censorship as well.

It's natural body part, so I agree. People are old enough to not get freak out seeing body parts. They can always skip the sex scenes if they're not into it. I guess this is one aspect I'm glad the Witcher influence Bioware to do.
The further Bioware separates Dragon Age from that...franchise, the better.
