I think it was said at the E3 demo that it was because Leliana was sent. So I am assuming you can send others and they will handle it their way.

hmm, i just watched a video that showed her at the war table and as they were going over it they highlighted the mission where you send her into the castle for a second and it said they sent her, then they showed her face and she looked normal

 

so whatever it is i don't think it's permanent, maybe it goes away when you kill him?

Well whatever happens I hope the Inquisitor can run really fast, because I think a Warden who romanced Leliana is going to want to have some words with him when he finds out what happened to her.

I wonder, and no I'm not going to put this in spoiler tabs because this has been openly discussed and bounced back and forth in another thread, if SHE only gets like that because SHE tried to sneak in alone? So if you send someone like Cullen he'd bring a fighting force with him.


Also brings up the point that I'm sure there are... More "Redcliffs" for each character. Places that will have consequences if you send one person or another. So basically, save often.

I'm starting to wonder, are they sitting down and having a conversation? Or are those people who hate Hawke (for some reason) actually going to get their (sadistic) wish and be able to execute him/her? We saw that we can behead people in the Choice and Consequence trailer and do something that causes Varric to rage-quit the Inquisition... perhaps this is it?

 

I hope not... but given what can happen to Leliana, I'm starting to wonder if anything is off the table here?

Personally, I think having the choice there would be awesome. It's something I'd never do, but as a potential story turn? Wow.
