" You can only move the cam with wasd and turn it with QE (i think it was QE) no moving with the mouse like it is possible in any RTS game or DA:O.(moving the perspective by moving the cursor to the border of your screen)."

You can hold both mouse buttons, OR the middle mouse button and move the target around with the mouse.

Yep, pretty much confirmed now, the interface sucks. Took me a couple of hours just to get used to it...

From here: 11 Things You Should Know About Dragon Age: Inquisition http://kotaku.com/11...itio-1657127952

The PC's mouse and keyboard controls are about what you'd expect—they work well, with a big bar of hotkeys and controls similar to those in Origins

And this is absolute BULL because both DAO and DA2 had mouselook without having to press the right mouse button.

Is wasd for only when in Tac-Cam or is it for movement across the board. Sorry if this has been answered but I didn't catch it in the earlier pages and I am trying to understand what the hubub is about?

I can't stand this game, it is just simply HORRIBLE. The combat is absolutely atrocious, the camera sucks, the UI is utter crap... Everything just feels so clunky and awkward. Such a shame too, because the game is beautiful and has so much detail.  :(

I was SO excited about this game, but it turned out even worse than Dragon Age 2! How in the f**k did that happen?!

I'm going to get a refund on Origin and buy Far Cry 4 or something else. I'm done with BioWare EAWare.

I played DAI with korean vpn for 5 hours now, The menus are very clumsy to handle and the tactical combat is a pain in the ass compared to DAO....

Please fix it. This is pretty much like skyrim. They developed it for consoles and just transfered the menues for keyboard. They should have completly remade it for mouse and keyboard. Its really worse then DAO...

I would really appreciate a patch with a new UI and tactical combat made for PC users.

You should post this in the feedback and suggestions forum. Its already clear that they haven't spent nearly enough time on the PC interface.

Thanks. I wasn't thinking about that part, since Skyrim skills have such a weird interface -- though the constellations are an interesting idea -- that it's not really relevant to DAI. But yeah, that was kinda sucky with a mouse. It's not really clear why, though, since it's not like there's any conceptual problem with a mouse click scrolling the constellation image to a more sensible place

Does SkyUI do anything about that?

No SkyUI (SKSE) left the skills interface alone. It's serviceable, just odd. But frankly I would not play Skyrim without SkyUI.

Also I'm more concerned about there not being any storage in the game. Especially with a big crafting system. I guess Bioware expect me to carry everything around.

Yeah keyboard and mouse is awful.

It's clearly been designed with controllers and pretty much nothing else in mind. They started that journey in DA2 and they have completed it now, really disappointing. Considered a refund but I'll play with a controller and pretty much admit that Bioware have well and truly thrown an Origins style combat experience out with the trash, never to return.

I've heard a lot about how bad the controls are on PC. I have really bad reaction time and my wrists and fingers cramp when left in certain positions for too long,so no controller for me. Some descriptions make the controls seem like they're from hell, others that it's very similar to ME. I've gone back and forth 3-4 times on whether I should get this. Because well, I do have bad reaction times and tire easily. But I played ME without a problem. I don't know what to think, so details are appreciated.

The controls are certainly awkward at first but it's more about layout than twitch reactions, at least to me. Get used to after a bit.

Are the keys not rebindable. Because having to use WASD would be a dealbreaker.

The controls are horrible, and the combat is clunky as all getout.  That having been said, with AutoHotKey there is a way around the controls, but it certainly is not nearly as fluid as DAO or DA2.

Pretty much this.

Awkward, but rebindable.

i'll be shocked again if you can't full customize controls...at least for PC.  Console might not be FULLY customizable, but different layouts.

Nope.  Mouse buttons are not rebindable AT ALL.

You have three options:

1. Play for a bit and get used to it.

2. Rebind the keys.

3. Use a gamepad.

I've never played a game with a control scheme I couldn't get used to.

If you've got a programmable keyboard/mouse like a Razer Anansi/Naga, you should be able to rebind keys through Razer Synapse or whatever equivalent you use.

Terrible.

The only way to really play this game is in 3rd person mode and never use the tactical camera. You are supposed to play the game the way it was designed to be played: Mash the buttons on the controller and use the companion AI. You thought combat couldn't get worse than what we had in DA2? Think again. Combat in DA2 was absolutely majestical and utterly awesome compared to this horse ****.

I am seriously butthurt about this and don't think DA:I is worth the price I paid for, but EA refuses to give me a refund. So much for that "Great Game Gaurantee"... good to know that it is just a bunch of BS.

I think I agree with you. The controls just don't make sense at times. DA2's are amazing by comparison, and DA:O are godly.

I don't understand what happened.

They're certainly different, but I really think it's just that I'm so stubbornly used to how DAO and DA2 worked.   By the fifteenth time I exited a pause by jumping, I said screw it and went with an Xbox One controller.

Which works very well.

This is stupid why is there no classic mode keybindings and us PC users are force to use a controller.

And that should not be the case. This is Skyrim all over again, and unlike Skyrim, there won't be any UI mods so we have to wait for Bioware to fix such stupid design choices.
