If you had play dragon age 1 and 2 you would have know the space button is always the pause button.

So pushing both mouse buttons doesn't run forward?
If true it must be a bug as they specifically said that was the case.

Left mouse button is basic attack and the mouse buttons aren't rebindable, just reversible. Pushing both buttons just causes you to swing at the air.

Hmm.... maybe you could explain to me what the controller improves in DAI. I understand interfaces not taking advantage of the kb/m, but I've never seen what the controller actually does better. Of course, since I've never seen any advantage to using a controller I've never really tried to use one much.
It improves gameplay in general. Moving around and interacting with the world in DAI feels slightly awkward with M&K imho. Navigating the menus is easier and faster, and the tacical view is more intuitive to use too. I'm not saying it's unplayable with M&K, but it's certainly more enjoyable with the controller.

You can't fix 90% of our issues ourselves. Worse, for many of us controllers are just as bad or even worse. I understand a lot of people are content especially since the game went through loops to make life easier for them, but using Tac Cam with a controller is no more fun than with a keyboard and mouse.
Why do you need the Tac view for a controller, it's mainly just used by mouse and keyboard players due to dragon age 1 top down view.

- Press F to loot, but you have to click to 'take all'.
I still cant believe they didnt make hotkey for Loot All. WTF Bioware?

Yes, this feature is a bit strange. What's a sonar ping doing in a medieval fantasy game?
Wasteland 2 has it too. At least it's functional and doesn't interrupt game play.
Because it's a sustained skill in WL2. You turn it on and it stays on.
The ping mechanic is complete nonsense and its animation and sound effects are annoying. I would rather just press tab and have all lootable items highlight in that pretty purple color we all know and love.

The controls are good, IMO
you just need to get used to it
Just because it's new and different doesn't mean it's bad
Ok just looking at this means you never even use the mouse and keyboard for DA3.

Why this aversion against game pads?
Uh, because I don't want to buy one? I'm playing on PC. Besides, I shouldn't need to buy a game pad to properly control my PC and companions.

Guess I'm waiting for a patch/mod before even bothering to install then.
If I wanted to hold down WASD to move around I'd get Call Of Duty.

And yet you say it's working fine, those of us using them say otherwise.

Do you have to hold a keyboard button down to attack continually or is it the left mouse button?

Default is R amd left mouse button. You can't rebind the mouse button but you can reverse it so it's the right mouse button instead.

That's your own fault then. There are tons of beat 'em ups, jump 'n run games, space operas and simulators that require joysticks and game pads. BTW: Third person games in particular play better with analogue movement. You should know this by now after playing them for 25 years.
Not if you play swords/dragons/magic only type games.
Which is why I hope they put the mouse controls back in.
