Probably talking about how they didn't get rid of save imports.

??? They didn't?

Well, his problem with them is still there with the Keep, at least.

Oh, you mean Jimmy's problem specifically. Well he said "draw the most criticism." I don't think Jimmy's THAT insular, that he thinks many (if any) others mind save imports.

Maybe he meant "the most (excellent) criticism."

Learned these in college.

If you watch it, you'll be scared to touch anything.

I'm already afraid of touching things that I haven't constantly disinfected first.

There's an X-Files episode that was probably also inspired by this.

Oh? You can't make a leading statement like that without expounding!

I honestly can't think of any other feature, other than the combat, that's controversial.

Probably talking about how they didn't get rid of save imports.

Heh. No, not the Save Imports. Although, possibly... in a manner of speaking.

I'd say story may wind up being the most-complained aspect of the game. Due to the nature of re-introducing multiple races, shifting to a much larger/more open world design, the desire to over-correct from DA2's more experimental story structure and, yes, the need to address a rapidly growing list of variables needed to be managed with Imports, makes me think a cohesive main story would be quite difficult to create.

Even if the story were to follow Origins or one of Bioware's other story-strong installments, the added amount of content, characters and area will run the risk of having more "dead air," so to speak, between the main plot and even your companions. The same amount (or even only a degree or two MORE) of "deep" content as seen in previous games could feel empty and disconnected in such a game.

Just a hunch. Too many fish hooks, not enough bait.

EDIT: To be clear though, I think the game will do remarkably well and be Bioware's best selling game to date. I just don't think it will be as critically acclaimed, by fans or reviewers, as DA:O was.

I'd disagree about DA:O's story--DA:O's story (kill the archdemon) was the weakest of the series, and possibly one of Bioware's weaker stories. But the worldbuilding and lore were fantastic.

You make a good point about DA I though, and that's definitely a complaint I've seen.

True - when I say "story" I am more referring to the overall experience rather than the specific arc involved. Something that may get drowned out or diluted in across too much freedom and choice.

I wrote two paragraphs, then realized I wasn't actually disagreeing with you. I agree it may get drowned out, but I personally feel that there's much more potential for organic world-building with large-scope games than with something smaller. See, Skyrim: Thalmor & the Empire, the dwarven elves, the Labyrinth, the Companions and their secret, etc.

True. It would really depend on the integration and execution (like all things, of course). Still, I feel like that is what people will be most critical on - "Bioware tried to make a Skyrim clone and made a boring, empty world," etc. etc.

In all honesty, I'm debating having my first review be a week or so after release from a Metacritic zero score. Just so I can work up from there.

90% of the cells in or on our body are bacteria! RIGHT NOW, one out of three people have tuberculosis (in a mannor of speaking)!

Are you saying 1 in 3 people have tuberculosis or 1 in 3 people are positive for the tuberculosis organism?

Parasites don't have orgasms. It's a proven scientific fact.

Why would you need that much plastic surgery before the age of 60 (and even then) is beyond me...

That definitely must be a parasite in hiding...

I wouldn't call that true beauty.

She's wearing numerous layers of make up...
