I don't think any of them are actual gods. Very powerful spirits perhaps. David Gaider did say they'd never look into whether or not the Maker was real, so why would they do so with the Elven Pantheon?
I don't know, this is a lot of new info. Not sure what to think of it all.

Also, if Flemeth is truly Mythal, I can see why she was interested in Urthemiel...if he's a Forgotten One as well. She might wanted to raise a purified version of him that won't be antagonistic to her/the elven gods as the Forgotten Ones were.

Not even my adventurous trooper, Ulee, could handle dating/being ditched by some trickster god. Seriously, just my thoughts (so no judgement on anyone thinking differently
I think that's all.
Now I definitely have no qualms about seeing spoilers.

*sigh* All I want to know is if we can make him stay.
I swear to god, if he's the only companion that inevitably fucks off before endgame I'm gonna be really disappointed.

But yeah, I really didn't think Bioware would go there. >.>
I do think it's a good thing that they're finally addressing the nuts and bolts of their universe. I was annoyed at how vague Origins left things, and ditto for DA2.
Though, uh, your nerdy elf boyfriend being the Dread Wolf wasn't really something I was imagining.

Interesting. I'll be at the Keep altering some choices then. OGB needs to exist to see whether there'll be more dialogues in this matter.

.......................... Yep ....................... I'll be pissed as hell if he end up leaving no matter what.... If that's the case I'm gonna stalk him and I'll strangle him myself if he abandons me after I spare his life

I'm feeling bad for all the people in the Solas thread calling him 'adorkable' now.

Allan must have been cackling madly at us way back when!
Personally I'm not looking forward to my favorite character possibly being hated by a good chunk of the fanbase. I feel for Anders fans.

I do recall that in the War Table concept art his appearance was wolflike. He even had yellow eyes.

Psh, Solas doesn't need defending. He's the goddamn Dread Wolf.
Really, he's more of a Morrigan than an Anders.

Man, I just don't even know what to think. Seriously.
I don't know how I feel about this new information guys
I'm tired and can't see any positives at all right now...
You are not alone. I've been making funny quips, but that's pretty much a defense mechanism at this point. I mean, I kinda laughed before and was like, "Can't be worse than Anders, right? Right?" Um... eh... erm... ![]()
All I wanted was a Varric romance. Didn't get that. Then fell back to Solas, and now... I just... what.
But yeah, I really didn't think Bioware would go there. >.>

Right? I... kinda just wanted nerdy elf boyfriend. ![]()

And that's why I'm sort of reeling at the irony of it all. Like, seriously. The thread full of the fluffiest, nicest people in the history of ever and our boyfriend's the freaking Dread Wolf?
BioWare, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Totally going to have *words* with Allan if this shakes out. ![]()
I'm sorry, RynJ. I definitely already know this pain twice, once with Loghain and again with Anders.
I should stop liking characters or something, it's a curse. At this point, I can only hope I haven't left a curse hovering over Varric, too. ![]()

Well, they plotted the Solas thing a long time before they shown him.
I do wonder if it was a good idea to make him a LI. While I personally find the plot twist interesting (expecially for my theories on the dalish and human gods), I feel sorry for the people who'll romance him...expecially those unspoiled.

I'm still romancing him. It's not what I was expecting, but I guess that's what I get for going in with expectations.
And I kinda love the idea of the First of a Dalish clan falling for the Dread Wolf. The First who is hailed by the entire world as a savior. That's wonderfully mythological.

The romance is interesting, though I wonder if at least at first he didn't enter in it with other plans.

Perhaps!
And perhaps the Inquisitor is able to make him re-think those other plans.

Maybe they were mistaken and Solas is just a servant of him and not actually him? I trust the information fully, but maybe they got confused or something? I feel like there's definitely a connection for sure to Fen'Harel but even I'm having a hard time thinking he'll actually be him. But then all of the wolf stuff makes me think otherwise...
I was too excited to post it, but when I got confirmation, I did ask if he ended up transforming into a wolf or anything, and they said "No, his eyes do become black or something when he kills Flemeth." so idk.
I'm still romancing him. Honestly, the whole thing doesn't really bother me one bit now that I know going into it. Now, going into it blind probably would have wrecked me
