Do we know if Fen'harel has a stance on innocents?
Well he possibly opened a hole in the sky that killed thousands within minutes.
So if he's Fen'Harel, I'd say he doesn't give a damn.

All I'm saying is a lot of this really, really doesn't add up. I can believe that he accidentally opened the breach. But him being genuinely evil seems a bit far-fetched.
Probably not if you worship dat ass.
I'd worship dat ass all night long~ (ok, definitely tipsy XD)
And imo if he did open the hole in the sky, then he isn't Fen'harel, and vice versa. That's just too much.
I'd guess that if he is Fen'harel then he's pissed at Cory for messing with the Fade. It's his territory, after all.

Indeed, being a mass-murderer on top of a Elven trickster god is a little much. I mean...jesus, even Loghain had some redeeming qualities. This just makes Solas seem like an ass.
Well, I refuse to jump to worst case scenario, total jerk villain. So I'm watching this scene where an Inquisitor asks him about ancient elves and magic. Anyone cares to watch? People were not kidding when they said he slightly approved over *every* investigative option xD

Ooh, me, me!

That's kind of cute honestly, he's happy when people ask him about things.
Yeah, I'd like to see it.
Remember when everyone thought he'd be an ungated, bi romance who was an all around cool guy ?
O' times they are a changin'....

Okay, it's in this link after 03:49:00:

Still very early in the game, general investigative options, but the more personal ones were asked earlier in the video.
And why do you think he's genuinely evil? We don't know if the voluntary Opened the Breach.
So we have Fen'Harel, the trickster god. Whose outwitted damn near everyone in elven lore. And you're telling me he unknowingly opened that hole ?
I don't think he's Fen'Harel, but if he is and he did open the breach. I highly doubt it's an accident.
God bless you for it, too. This place has become a worse roller coaster than yesterday was, and I thought *THAT* was bad enough.
Thank you. GOD Bless you too...well to everyone in here,it's been rough in this thread today. ![]()
I'm taking this all with a grain of salt. I can't wait to Romance this Handsome elf! ![]()
That's exactly what I'm doing because he could be not Fen'Harel at all,he could have nothing to do with the breach and we can have a good ending with Solas still with us......
I'm really trying to stay positive here ya'll!
Being positive never hurts
Neither does taking things with a grain of salt. It's only a few days left until we know at the very most, so not too much longer at least.
I'm hoping that some of these streamers end up getting to the end of the game sooner rather than later.
I do think There are more changed he did it voluntarily, but I think We're missing a lot of context of What happened at that moment. So we have Fen'Harel, the trickster god. Whose outwitted damn near everyone in elven lore. And you're telling me he unknowingly opened that hole ?
I don't think he's Fen'Harel, but if he is and he did open the breach. I highly doubt it's an accident.
I imagine so, their must be a reason. Even if he is a god, I doubt he would do this without some motive. Though whether it's a good one or not remains to be seen.
If he isn't Fen'Harel. I can definitely imagine it being an accident.
So I just watched the video, and he's so compassionate! It's wonderful. And I can see the context of him disapproving of the Dalish and I approve of his disapproval.
I don't think it's all just an act. It can't be.
Well, while I liked hearing his opinions and his attitude in general, he was a bit of a jerk and generalizing about the Dalish. Oh, they mangle the stories while I search for the truth. I won't tell them the stories they're seeking because they're all the same and wouldn't listen to me. And then he says each clan is different
Buuut it could make sense if he has an ancient elf connection since - spoiler for another video later in the game, minor storyline spoiler -
I think he disapproves of them in the context of their rejection of the city elves (makes reference to the term "flat-ears"). He dislikes Dalish hypocrisy, when they say that they seek to preserve elvenkind while at the same time dismissing the most marginalized population in all Thedas.
And I totally agree with his anger. While he may be generalizing, the overall sentiment is just.
I doubt his entire personality is an act. But then I think this evening has been a great big exercise in "you know nothing." So I could totally be wrong.
The Dalish certainly deserve some criticism. Especially in their treatment of city elves.
Masked Empire spoiler:
Well, if it was who you suggested in the tag, I don't think it makes much sense, givenI think he disapproves of them in the context of their rejection of the city elves (makes reference to the term "flat-ears"). But is he an ancient elf?
All we know is that one way or another solas is a "traitor" in some fashion. Maybe he's fen'harel. Maybe he's working with fen'harel. Maybe he's an ancient elf. Maybe he opened the breach either on purpose or by accident.
Also, more confirmation here:

Spoiler link halfway down the page says "too bad he betrays you." Same user then says that he found out, "From watching Italian streamers. Saw the whole thing go down."
Well, he has some things in common with them but I'm still on the "we don't really know anything but 'traitor' right now" thing.
I just want to know what's going on with him. All of this is starting to kill my hype a little bit.
I sure know how to pick 'em! Still not completely over Joker but at least he didn't betray you. ![]()
I guess the best way to approach this is to just keep an open mind, and try not to worry. The game's coming out soon. ![]()
Like, half of the fictional guys I like would probably be diagnosed with a cluster B personality disorder if they were real people. For once I hope this one doesn't turn out to be one of them. Well, I doubt that they would actually create a romance with a character that didn't really develop feelings for you, at least, so I'm not too worried about that part.
