I would have said that this makes sense, exept for the dalish part...
But why does't he like the dalish anyway?
I guess we really won't know unless we play ourselves...
I just hope that he doesn't get romantically involved with a female dalish to take revenge or whatever because he hates them

 

The impression I got from that first dialogue is that the Dalish treatment of non-Dalish elves bothers him. It's in the way he says "flat-ear."

 

I think he'd be fine with a Dalish elf who has an open mind instead going "Dalish are best" at everything.

 

A little randomly, but the guy who called Solas's spoilers the "biggest most major" spoilers is the one who made the initial dialogue video. In the Scuttlebutt forum, he calls Solas one of his favorite characters. So whatever traitorface gets up to, there were no hard feelings there. The neogaf reviewer seemed to have the same reaction.

Yeah, just a little. The motives are different but the actions and reactions are the same. It is the second time we've seen "helped open the Breach" and "can kill him or allow him to redeem himself."

 

Maybe that's the deception from the first rumor? I'm not sure I believe it yet but it's food for thought.

Yeah. I think one thing that all the rumors have in common is that there _is_ a choice on whether you can keep or him let him go. So that's realllllllly good news I think. Even though it looks like the whole Fen'Harel thing is completely bunk, the person never said that there wasn't a choice with the options pertaining to Solas, only that "they lost him" which means they must have done the "sent him away" option. They really liked the character, so I highly doubt they would have ended up offing him, but you never know.

 

I feel pretty confident at this point that you CAN keep him with you. Honestly, it's kind of all I wanted to know anyways, the other stuff doesn't really matter too much to me when all is said and done.

Agreed. What he actually gets up to isn't as important to me as knowing he doesn't have the same fate no matter what happens.

While since he had an open mind without any dogma in the way they appeared as spirits of purpose and wisdom.

See this is what makes me so interested in his character. His views on the fade are so different from other mages we and certainly any our Lavellans' will have met. It's gonna be an eye opener, no more Chantry-fide 'everything is demons!'.

 

I'm working on my Dalish!Quizzy, hoping to role her as an open minded, somewhat distant from her clan Dalish. I played a very headstrong and proud Mahariel as my Warden, so it'll make a nice change. Hopefully, Mr Chuckles and her will get along

Same conversation but the player makes different decisions and I think takes more investigate options.

Looks like a spoiler thread is going to be going up on Neogaf on Monday along with the official DA:I topic thread, so I'm going to bust in and harass everyone for details on what happens. I imagine what ever it is he may of done, he's trying to redeem himself. Everyone seems to have a positive opinion on Solas, so what ever he does. I'm sure there's reasoning and he's try's to set it right.

God, I'd been refraining from watching too much of his dialog, but wow! Gareth's voice acting is incredible, and Solas's views...'scuse me as my brain breaks.

 

Also loving Jon Curry's voice acting! On M!Qunari its amazing =D

I don't suppose that stream was archived? Is there video or screenshots or anything? I want to believe this and it lines up pretty perfectly with the very first rumors about Solas but... this has been a wild ride and something a little more solid would be nice.
