Ah, the uncertainty. I'm sort of tempted to do a more minimalist playthrough the first time around just to see what the hell actually happens.

Um you guys i think he might be Fen'Harel just listen to this banter: http://youtu.be/ZqQu...yrUnP4n9Ifn2fWw
Anyway we will know the truth in a few days
That...doesn't mean anything. I've heard that banter as well. All he says is that he's had bad run-ins with the Dalish. Not exactly something you need to be the Dread Wolf to do. The Dalish are established as being wary of outsiders and dismissive of non-Dalish.

Depends on the clan. So far only The one in TME didn't welcome non-dalish elves.That...doesn't mean anything. I've heard that banter as well. All he says is that he's had bad run-ins with the Dalish. Not exactly something you need to be the Dread Wolf to do. The Dalish are established as being wary of outsiders and dismissive of non-Dalish.
I agree The banter doesn't necessarily means anything though.

Aaaaargh, I cannot ****** believe that after all this we're right back to where we started! We don't even know if we can keep him after the ending!

I don't think they're a troll, but file names don't tell us the whole story.
Anyways, enough depressing stuff for now, have you guys actually looked up the Hermit card? It's pretty spot-on for Solas.
"The Hermit reflects that you are engaging in a period of soul searching. You want to seek the truth at all costs... There comes a point in life when we begin to question the status quo, knowing that there is a deeper meaning to life, and thus, we begin to search for it."
"The Hermit has learned to help others with love and compassionate detachment. This Tarot card indicates that you have gone beyond the point of being critical and you can now understand and appreciate that the varied paths people choose for themselves all lead to the same higher purpose. You have reached a high enough level of spiritual attainment yourself that you no longer need to convince others of what they should do. You can honour silence and allow your inner light to shine out towards others as a means of communication."
And the reversed Hermit...
"If you have already been spending a lot of time reflecting on your inner self, then the appearance of the reversed Hermit may suggest that you are spending too much time alone in excessive isolation. You are literally becoming a hermit and cutting yourself off from others. While this period is helping you on a spiritual level, you may be feeling temporarily isolated and alone."

So it seems like Sera calls a romances Inquisitor by a nickname (Sunshine)
I wonder if Solas has a nickname for us too?
Hopefully he'll at least call us Lavellan if romanced

I kinda hope he uses an elvish term of endearment.
"Ma sa'lath" = "My one love" (not to be confused with "Ma serannas" which means "thank you").

Right, so I PMed the person talking about the Solas spoilers in the Blackwall thread, and he says that it is indeed possible for him to stay with you past his betrayal.
Also, according to 4chan, they discovered 2 kiss files for solas whereas before they thought there weren't any, so don't be discouraged by the apparent lack of an ending file.

Past his betrayal doesn't necessarily mean to end game though. I'm beginning to think that if you convince him to redeem himself he still dies or leaves before it's all over.
I've also come to terms with this breaking my heart no matter what happens. Maybe there will be fix it fic.

We know that the likelihood for multple fates for our companions exist. I am of the mind (hope), that it is no different for Solas. How difficult it is to reach certain endings....well, that might still be a challenge. Just still reachable, under the right circumstances.

He had better not die unavoidably. I might quit the Dragon Age series if so. I don't want it turning into Mass Effect. There's enough loss of ones you love when you are powerless to stop it IRL.

Also, what will your Lavellans be like personality-wise? Will you play a tough girl, someone that takes pride in being dalish? Someone quite curious or cool?
My mage will be a freethinker and daydreamer. She has a positive outlook on the world, likes to be dalish but she's not really proud of it. She just likes her way of living in a clan. She loves to learn more about the different races and cultures, but she tends to overlook some core problems because of her peaceful but a little naive nature. That's why she can't understand the mage-templar war all that well - why can't they just get along? She's also really curious and a necromancer. I plan to give her the pixie cut and blonde hair. I think I'll draw her in the near future, too.

Ha!
You pessimists can think what you want but I highly think there will be a way to keep him around...just like with Anders,Isabela...well every past companion in the DA games. ![]()
I think his romance is going to be adorable...it's funny how we will have to be the ones to get the romance started,I guess it just goes over his head a few times before he realizes " Hey this chick digs me!"

I'm not sure it will go over his head. Rynj said he gets it with the first few flirts. He sounds like he may not understand why someone would be interested in him.
And maybe the whole "accidentally blew up the world" thing has him wanting to keep some distance.
I'm sorry for being a pessimist! I just can't bring myself to rule out the possibility without proof.
Edit: Also if there's a point where he does betray the Inquisition (or seems to), if that's planned he may be reluctant to make connections with the people he's intending to betray.

Oooh right I forgot about that...I don't know it sounded kinda different to me but maybe your right he does get it lol. ![]()
Hon think of the positive just because we don't have proof doesn't mean everything is going to go downhill. Think more on the positive cause the negative is just a total D.i.c.k ![]()

I think Rynj said some of the later flirts (after the first one) were less subtle.

Apart from all the sad and confusing stuff that's going on right now, what would you guys LIKE to see? I think his romance
Also, what will your Lavellans be like personality-wise? Will you play a tough girl, someone that takes pride in being dalish? Someone quite curious or cool?
My Lavellan is curious, but wary at first. She's always felt a certain distance between herself and the rest of her clan, bar the Keeper, because of her position as First. She tried to compensate for this by working hard in order to one day take over as Keeper, and she is fiercely protective of her clan. When she fully takes on the mantle of the Inquisitor, that protectiveness extends to those she commands and the people she meets on her travels.
When she's thrown into stressful circumstances with the opening of the breach, she at first falls back on her Dalish pride as a way of reassuring herself, however her time with the Inquisition begins to broaden her horizons, and she starts seeing the Inquisition as an extension of her family.
She is drawn to Solas because he is unlike anyone she has ever met before. She is particularly envious of how well-traveled he is, as she's always secretly wished to see the world. Whenever she gets the chance she presses him for information on the things he's seen.
She is a decisive leader, and is willing to make tough decisions in order to protect those who rely on her. However she is more inclined to deal with a situation with words than violence.

I think that might be it. If you flirt with him, he flirts back, but I think he might need a bit of a kick in the ass before he realizes that you actually want it to go somewhere.

I agree with Scintilla in that I don't think Solas is ignorant to your flirtations, its more "Why?". I like it, the player taking the initiative. Though I'm struggling to see how the romance is going to play out, but I'm hopeful
A scene of them discussing the fade or politics or anything like that would make me a happy person!
My Lavellan is a curious lady, always wandering off and putting her nose where it doesn't belong. Being Dalish isn't all that important to her, she's a mage first, everything else comes after that. She was never that close with her clan, except the Keeper. There is no resentment there, its just that she gets itchy feet. Hence her excitement to leave for the Conclave.
She likes to take her time, which I can imagine will wind Cassandra up something dreadful! As for Solas, like everyone here, she's fascinated by his ideas. That's what sparks their interaction, and with my Inquisitor's quirky temperament, it should be an interesting show
Going to run her as a buffing mage, though am really interested in Knight Enchanter. We'll see ![]()

I usually play rogues first, and it would make things easier because I really like the mages this time around and want them in my party
But I've wanted to be first to the Keeper ever since DAO, so I'll be a mage afterall ![]()
Just don't know about specialization, Rift mage interests me the most but since Solas already has it and I definitely want him in my party I'll have to decide between Knight Entchanter and Necromancer ![]()
