I was skipping through so I didn't get a complete feel but it's

the very last scene my jaw dropped.

 

I'm kind of mad at myself for looking but at the same time I'm glad I know. I can see just what I'm getting into.

Okay, it's the after the credits sequence. So at least he stays with us through the game and in after-game play (hopefully). At least our inquisitor doesn't know so he can keep up the charade.

 

So what's with these people claiming to kill him? Was that a lie?

I don't know what to make of the ending. Were we supposed to assume he's evil, since he seems to put on an act to kill Flemeth? If so, I still wonder about the super story reasons. Fen'Harel hates the Dalish, doesn't he?

 

It just feels like a wooooooooah jumping the shark moment to me. Why do I always pick the complicated ones?

 

Well now I can relax and play the game at my leisure, at least. I have a lot of work to do for the rest of the semester so it's probably for the best that I'm not trying to rush through. But this is going to take some time to process and I have such a weight in my stomach oh my gosh.

 

I mean

was he really just messing with us? Does he really love the Inquisitor? And other spoilers keep giving him such human qualities. In one of the streams Cole describes him and one of the main adjectives is "sorrowful". Apparently there's also a Fade sequence that reveals the companions' greatest fears and Solas's is dying alone. Was he really just putting on some incredible ruse all along?

 

The benefit of all this? I'm going to be on here tapping my fingertips together evilly and waiting for the reactions.

Flemeth. I think one of them had to die for some reason and he said that the people still needed him so he sucker punched her. That's why he said he was sorry.

 

edit: Ooh maybe he killed her to steal her orb since he gave his to Corypheus.

I think the Dalish have their mythology mistaken about him.
