But the way she says she´s sorry, I don´t know it almost seems like she´s apologizing for something she´s about to do (like killing him or taking over his body) Which would suck because I´d love to learn more about him. Do you think they´ll deal with this in an expansion? And also do you think he tells the Inquisitor about who he really is?
They both said sorry to each other.
I do hope they will address full story in extension.... Or they might just drag it out like they did with flemeth and involve Solas in the next game.
Thing is.... I kinda hope the will open up to quizzy if they are romanced. But if he does, than mystery about him will be in the open and no point in doing extension.
I doubt he says anything to even a romanced Inquisitor. It would ruin the plot twist. Though it's possible that he drops a few more hints about his true nature if you romance him.
As for the romance, we'll have to see! Nobody seems to have played through it yet so nothing's been leaked. Kinda happy about it; I don't want to know the exact deets of all the character interactions.

Hm actually now that I think about you guys might be right, maybe he absorbed her power? Didn´t he tell Flemeth that he didn´t have his full power or something? Anyway, I am beyon excited for his romance
I just really hope that he ends up having genuine feelings for our Lavellans. That's all that I want, really. The way he reacts to flirting is so cute, please let it be real!
Really makes you wonder about the way the Dalish see him. Does he feel lonely sometimes because he knows people of his own race despise him?
Well I think I said it earlier but Cole describes how Solas feels to him and one of the words he used was "sorrowful". And according to someone on Tumblr, the companions' biggest fears are revealed in the Fade and his is dying alone. So I'm going to hope he has some real emotion and isn't just putting on a ruse the whole time.
The only mention of being locked out of flirts is with Cullen. If you're involved with anyone else, you won't be able to flirt with him. That said, there is a lock in point for every romance, so presumably once you cross that line other flirts become unavailable. It should be obvious if you're having the "do you like me like me" conversation.
The guide says there isn't an approval system for the advisers. Romances are started through taking flirt options and quests through talking to them.
The spoilers for Solas's romance are a mini-walkthrough of how to start/progress it. It does spoil when the first kiss happen and a little of the culmination.
Spoilers for the romance:
Spoiler
Once his approval is up (probably after his first companion quest), you go to Haven to talk and Lady Lavellan can kiss him here to open the romance. After this chat, you get his second companion quest. If this is done wrong, it will lock out the romance (pro-tip: don't kill his friend or, if you do, apologize a lot). The culmination of the romance occurs after the quest before the last one. He wants to talk about the future (no idea what that means) and spend time with the Inquisitor (no idea what that means either).
Ok was just reading in the other group that if you side with mages Solas reveals that he is a wolf.
Also after reading there it remind me that DAI has TONS of different endings.
They also were saying ending depends on who you choose as Devine, who you side with. That includes end scene with flemeth
I bet the fact that the Solas thing is an after credits scene means it doesn't change, though. Like that feels like too big of a set-up for future games for it to be something that doesn't happen (like Morrigan having a kid even if you didn't do the ritual with her, or Anders blowing up the Chantry and you being unable to stop it, or
Spoiler
Corypheus escaping no matter what in the Legacy DLC
What has me super interested is that the scene itself makes me think we're going to see him in future games, maybe even in a big way. It's such a huge thing that I can't imagine it just being dropped, right?
@Scintilla - Very nice of you to share the guide info. Thank you! I have a couple questions, if you don't mind:
1) Is there any mention of getting "dinged" (so to speak), for spending hours in the Hinterland, while having the "Go see Mother Giselle" task, already listed in your journal/log/wuteva? I guess what I am getting at, does the guide suggest that you not spend too much time side-questing, while certain quests/tasks are sitting in your "to-do" list?
**I realize my question seems strange, considering the more "open-world" atmosphere of this game. But I remember playing a few games in the past (sorry for not remembering which ones specifically - been a while ), that also had a more open world setting, but once certain MQ's or specific tasks were added to ones journal, that you could run into less than optimal situations, the longer you waited. Damn, I hope I am making sense here. LOL! **
2) Are there suggestions as to what order to do certain quests in, that seem particularly important, if you are looking for the best ending? (granted, I understand that they didn't give specifics on the endings themselves, but wasn't sure if they gave some "hints" regarding good/best endings.)
3) Do you get any hint from the guide as to whether any of the LI's will out and out betray/leave/die, assuming you are not being a total dyck, or skipping a bunch of things/making a number of poor choices/etc...?
Thanks in advance for anything you can answer. And sorry, if I have posed confusing questions.

"Spend time" = sexy time. With Cass' romance at least you can go up to her anytime in Skyhold and say you want to "spend time" after the first time.

So we have to wait until the end of the game to get his love scene? Argh.
1) There's nothing like that in the Hinterlands. You can take as long as you want getting to the Crossroads.
2) There doesn't seem to be. I think so long as you're doing a lot of sidequests to gain influence, you should be fine.
3) It does not but I'm fairly certain that Solas is the only character you're obligated to lose (the guide doesn't mention him disappearing at the end of the main quest).
The uh, the ending's up on Youtube already. My friend told me that people on 4chan posted it.
I'm freaking out. The deets:
Spoiler
Solas is indeed the Dread Wolf and he does kill Flemeth at the end. Dating wolf gods. Wowza.
Holy ****, the crazy ass shark jumpy thing was right?!?!
And if he really does love you, that story is classic. The God who loved the mortal. Always tragic but totally badass. It figures that the least edgy PC I've ever created gets the edgiest romance of the entire damn game series or possibly Bioware history! Also, is the mark still on your hand at the end? I would have thought they'd clear that up somehow.
Now I'm going to be watching out for all the hints they drop. And good lord they kind of beat you over the head with it when you think about it. So much so that him being Fen'Harel was speculated back when we had nothing to go on! Wolf jawbone necklace, sympathizing with the wolves in that one quest, I'm sure there will be more.
And gosh darnit Weekes that entire Solas interview was trolling to the max. I feel like he deserves a damn award for Mordin and Solas. The Life Ruination Award.
I seem to recall someone asking what a group consisting of Cole, Solas, and... don't remember the third... would be called. Back when Team YOLO was being talked about by devs on Twitter a lot (Dorian, Sera, Bull)... and didn't Patrick call it Team Crushed Expectations?
Goddammit, Patrick. F**king seriously. I'm laughing so hard.
THE IRONY THAT THIS HAPPENS TO THE NICEST, FLUFFIEST THREAD OF UNICORNS ON BSN. HOLY ---
I suppose if nothing else I'll have stories to tell the grandpups... where is DR? I need a dread buddy, no pun intended
Sorry, was busy playing the game. Catching up here while eating lunch. We're back to the Big Bad Wolf again, eh?
I have something for that. Have a song. With reworked lyrics (doesn't quite rhyme, sorry):
Owoooooooo!
Who's that I see walkin' in these woods?
Why, it's Inquisitor Lavellan.
Hey there Inquisitor Lavellan,
You sure are looking good.
You're everything a Great Dread Wolf could want.
Listen to me.
Inquisitor Lavellan
I don't think little big girls should
Go walking in these spooky Fade tears alone.
Owoooooooo!
What big eyes you have,
The kind of eyes that drive wolves mad.
So just to see that you don't get chased
I think I ought to walk with you for a ways.
What full lips you have.
They're sure to lure someone bad.
So until you get to Cory's place
I think you ought to walk with me and be safe.
I'm gonna keep my elf suit on
Until I'm sure that you've been shown
That I can be trusted walking with you alone.
Owoooooooo!
Inquisitor Lavellan
I'd like to hold you if I could
But you might think I'm a big bad wolf so I won't.
Owoooooooo!
What a big heart I have
The better to love you with.
Inquisitor Lavellan
Even bad wolves can be good.
I'll try to be satisfied
Just to walk close by your side.
Maybe you'll see things my way before we get to Cory's place.
Inquisitor Lavellan
You sure are looking good
You're everything that the Great Dread Wolf could want.
Owoooooooo!
I'm always totally fine with running off into the sunset with Anders, I actually liked that, it's my DA2 canon...I like that option..
Me, too.
Screw it. I adored Loghain and would've gotten in his pants if I could. I adored Anders and DID get in his pants. So, hey, what's a little elven mythology/bestiality?
