God when someone mentioned the line "Dread Wolf take you!" I'd visions of Lavellans' everywhere shouting that mid battle, and Solas smirking quietly to himself

 

And of course, there is the other version of the too

Definitiely making a female Lavellan mage for Solas now...Tame the Wolf indeed...

 

I have watched the spoilers and no, I do not think Solas / Dread Wolf is inherently evil, in the same way Loki in the Nordic mythology is not an evil being (thanks Marvel for turning him into an evil ****** !  )

 

Additionally, I think that the Elven deities of Thedas are like the Aedra of Elder Scrolls in that they are very powerful beings who are the ancient ancestors of the Elves.

 

Furthermore, I think that Flemeth is Mythal. I think she said sorry because she was supposed to free the Dread Wolf at some point but failed to do so, maybe ?  Does this mean Morrigan is half-elven or half divine ? What does this mean for Kieran who is related to Flemeth but has the soul of an Old God ? Does this mean if we spare Flemeth at the end of Dragon Age Origins, she still has a chance to live ?

I am of the opinion that when the Dread Wolf awoke, he was weak and needed someone to help him get his powers back. That someone was supposed to be Flemeth / Mythal. Somehow, she failed. Desperate, Dread Wolf turned to Corypheus who decided to use the orb for this own ends to attain godhood. This I think upsets Dread Wolf greatly and he decides to assume the form of Solas to help the Inquisition. If the Inquisitor is a female Lavellan, she would get to..umm...DoTheWolf...

 

At the end of the day, I think Dread Wolf simply just is. He is not bad, he is not good. All he is, is that he wants to help The People.
