It could be the optional kiss that you can get after talking with your LI. Cullen has a similiar scene (saw it on youtube). You can just walk up to your LI and ask for a kiss.

Finally got a chance to really start playing. I am loving it! My Ulee turned out a bit like Tilda Swinton (not on purpose, but I'm good with it; she's hot. ). And the Sumlee voice fits her greatly. I was a bit worried at first, listening to the two voices in the CC. But, Ulee just looks to "rugged" for a more ethereal voice, like Alix'. At least, for me.

Will post some pics soon, but I have some lighting adjustments to do. Last night the screen didn't look this bright (and washed out...bleh ), but today... LOL!

As for the performance and gameplay: I had to turn everything to medium (except for mesh/textures, since I refuse to have Ken Doll hair *stink-eye!*), and turned off AA. I still have microstutters, but it hasn't affected gameplay. Yet (fingers crossed). Cutscenes, are also a little jittery, but not terrible. My system is just a shade under the "recommended", and I only installed the latest "stable" driver for AMD. If I keep reading good reports on the Beta they released for the game, then I will install the beta drivers. But all of this really does show, that this game is a massive PIG when it comes to resources. Hopefully, things will smooth out a bit eventually (patches, beta drivers, being able to use Mantle once I download, said beta drivers.....)

For gameplay, I was worried at first. Had a lot of problems trying to fight in straight third person. Once the Tac Cam tutorial started though (and a couple of fights to figure everything out), I am really enjoying the tac cam. Oh, and I reset Solas to always follow Ulee.

Regarding Solas and other companions: Solas is a right smart-ass! Yes! Ulee can take it though. I have mostly been choosing rather diplomatic choices, but it has been in-character. They just seem to fall on the same line....so far. I have no doubt as more dialogue opens up, that it will change some. Truthfully, I am really enjoying all of them. And my crush on Cass continues. I haven't gotten very far at all, so only Solas, Varric and Cass are in my group.

Bottom line: this game is going to take me forever to get through. I have been taking my sweet time, and I haven't even gotten out of the prologue area (I like loot...I'm a damn magpie when it comes to loot!). The only glitch I experienced was Solas had decided to jump on a barrel, outside of a hunter's cabin. And stay there. Obviously it was easily corrected with me switching to him, and making him jump off the damn thing. Heh!

Really though, this is no different than how I played DAO and DA2 the first time. I took forever to finish those first play throughs. But subsequent runs, had me speeding along pretty good. I may buy the guide though, for my next run, just so I can work faster and more efficiently.

That's what I've had to do set everything to low except mesh cause I don't want shiny hair lol...it runs okay but when I get into a heavy crowded area her running slows down. :/

 

Other than that I'm enjoying this game and have a feeling my quizzy and company are going to be in the Hinterlands for an eternity! LOL!

Oh I know Im not the only one. Shipping to APO AE is always screwed up. I'm used to it. Till game gets here I'm enjoying my time reading spoilers :-)

See, I am doing my masters now...My parents did not approve of it and wanted me to work but I wanted to study because I like studying, liked understanding the world (me & Solas will be besties in real life LOL)....

Because of that, I had to fund myself for a bit until I got a scholarship...Which meant I had to sell my gaming rig for it...It was one of the hardest things I had ever had to do in my life, emotionally speaking...

Right now I am doing my masters, I wish to complete it first and secure an offer to do PhD before getting back into gaming as a serious hobby...For now I just follow the news...

Frankly.... I respect you for furdering your career and studying! You have your priorities right and you are doing what is best for you and your future.

I first hand know how gaming can affect someone with weak will (me)... It took a while for me to get my **** together.

I do wish you best of luck and dude get that masters!

Okay, so this thing happened and even though it's just gameplay/tactics, I found it amazingly sweet and Solas-related, so putting it here.

 

I've been running around doing everything I possibly can in the Hinterlands, aside from facing the Momma Dragon, because I'm such a darned completionist. LOL So, I don't even have Skyhold yet; I'm still based in Haven.

 

As we were rolling along closing Fade rifts, one appeared that was filled with despair demons. I... am pretty sure it was meant for a higher level Inquisitor than I was at the time, as some rifts have been easy and others have been monsters.

 

This one was the worst I've encountered so far. I'm playing on Casual and it still almost wiped the whole party. You'll see in the video that we fly through all our health potions, then one by one the party drops. It comes down to a final stand with only me and Solas... and twice Solas literally saves my life with a last-minute barrier. The last one he cast before he finally fell was just enough of a push to get my Lavellan through the fight, the rift closed, and the party back on its feet.

 

Even one of the female devs remarked on Twitter (when I posted it) that, "He knew what he had to do to save his Inquisitor. I'm surprisingly taken with him. :3 "

Nah, I saw her refusal. It's much earlier than when the LIs are supposed to dance with you, so I wouldn't count her out.

Fellow Solassians, my game is finally here! I just bought it from our local Media Markt. Now I just have to install it and pray that it works - but it should, my laptop is brand new (bought it this year) and up-to-date. As long as I can play on normal or high settings I'm fine. If anyone wanted to see what it's like when he's pissed off, yeah you REALLY get to in his personal quest. He was about to go all Dread Wolf on some mages and I had to stop him from killing them. He disapproved. 

 

And after officially starting the romance, he's calling me "my heart" and "Vhenan" every time I talk to him!
