Solas is now my favorite love interest in any Bioware game, hell he would be one of my favorite characters even if he weren't a love interest (although that would have made me sad). The only thing is, even though I like the other characters I have no interest in romancing them now; I am virtually going to roll nothing but female elves which kind of bums me out in a way.

I've been reading up on Fen'harel and is there really any reason why he wouldn't have gone for a Qunari, dwarf or human? I really don't understand the super story reasons unless I missed something (sorry if I'm not understanding right). Is Fen'harel supposed to hate other races? Meh I just wanted to try other races and now I can't :-D

Well, I'm not gonna lie.

 

While my first playthrough is going to be a male human romancing Josephine, the very next one is going to be Solas.  I mean, damn.

I really love Solas, though. He's definitely one of my favourite companions.

I just made my Inquisitor...which took me over an hour in the character creator. Haha. I think Taleyah was worth it, though! Her name means 'golden rays of sun' in Persian, that's why I went with the golden theme. She's a daydreaming elven girl with high spirits and a general curiosity for the world. She's kind of ditzy sometimes and has trouble making decisions, since she always fears for the worst and does not want to prefer one side over the other. She doesn't understand war, either. She'd probably tell two opposite factions to just make peace already. Taleyah is a very friendly necromancer mage and she believes in the elven gods, but she wouldn't say she is a proud Dalish - rather, she just has fun being one. She tends to get overwhelmed by all the different religions and beliefs, but she wants to learn a lot.

I get the feeling this is going to be the romance that brings me back to the fanfiction for Dragon Age. I sort of gave up on it awhile ago given how many Mary Sues/Gary Stu's I found, but I want to have more Solas! And unless we get something like Witch Hunt we won't be getting more of him for awhile - though I get the BAD feeling they're setting him up as a villain for another game. Or at least another Flemeth.

Only the post-credits scene reveals his true nature. He promised my Inquisitor that he'd explain things after the final battle, but he left without telling her anything. Well, anything about that, anyway.

He seemed that way to me, but then again, he only said he'd talk about it with my Inquisitor after she specifically asked him to explain things. He definitely wasn't happy about how things turned out, though; I don't know if he maybe needed to leave for some reason and so he didn't get the chance to say anything more or what.

As for his feelings, yes, I think they were absolutely legitimate. He was really conflicted about the whole thing. :c

No sex scene; three romantic scenes total. Four if you count the dance at the ball, which I think every LI gets.

I really really believe this will lead to either DLC or - imo - Solas is actually going to be like Morrigan, getting his own DLC and also showing up in later games. IMO that reveal is too big to just be left in a single DLC and probably plays into whatever larger plan Bioware has.

was the one women at Bioware gave feedback on creepy/rapey undertones so it got scrapped? Because he is deceiving the Inquisitor, not about his feelings but about who he is exactly. Even if that isn't true, I can still understand why they wouldn't put more than kisses in his romance, given the ending.

Blackwall or Bull. Was going to be Cullen, but I was going to use my canon world state for that like the Solas playthrough (because of my Amell) and play a mage again - and I'd get burned out if I piled more of the same back to back. Whomever's romance is fluffier though is going next.
