Not the same thing. The ball when you can dance is later.

Yup, had to re-install Origin and BAM, connected straight away... I've been in the CC...need to re-make Atisha tomorrow, not happy with her...met Solas though..squee'd a little bit...now I'm off to bed to conserve my energy for tomorrow!

Aha, so I'm not just seeing things! I was like, is that wolf helping me fight these demons...or is it after the weird buffalo thingy? It helped. 

 

Humm...so only when Solas is in the party? Is that another hint at his true self?

100% sure. My Inquisitor got approval from Solas for basically everything she did, so it wasn't an issue of approval, and the only scenes I got were the ones I listed before. These ones (pictures):

Basing the merit of a romance on whether or not it has a sex scene seems a bit...misguided? Most bioware sex scenes are a few moments of awkward puppet fumbling.

Even if Solas ends up a villain, the fact that he didn't take advantage of the situation does say a lot about his character.

Agreed, for me that makes the lack of an intimate scene much more poignant. He could have taken advantage of our character, knowing full well that he was deceiving everyone about his true nature. Yet rather than do that, knowing he'd eventually break it off, he chose to spare her that pain. I do hope there's a 'through the eluvian' type ending for this romance - and if there's not there's always fanon.

To be fair though, we've had this happen before with Morrigan. So given the precedent set there - and the fact that they put that whammy at the end - I'd say chances are very good that we'll be seeing him again. Either in the next game or as DLC - the latter of which I'd prefer as our characters can at least meet him again in canon that way. I do hope, however, that there is an option to chew him out. Crythwen would be understanding, but she isn't everyone and I really do want to see his guilty face for at least not giving her an explanation.

I think Solas romance will be my new favourite, the only thing that bothers me is that the break up happens so suddenly :/
But all of the scenes are awesome, I love the way they interact with each other!

Guess we just have to hope for a DLC...? I really hope they remember the fact that there are elven girls left by their godly boyfriend out there. It would be so cruel to leave this untouched. ...but hey, at least there's always fanfiction, headcanons and more, right?

My Inquisitor got approval for basically everything she did--including these two things--and it still happened. I've got a guide and there's nothing in it about talking to Solas after the final romance conversation, either. (Trust me, I looked through every page of the thing after the end of the game, hoping that I could maybe find him somewhere. In the end I located an offering to Fen'Harel landmark thing, claimed the spot for the Inquisition, and stopped playing with that Inquisitor for a while. :U)

 

It is a little odd that Allan wouldn't know that Solas leaves, though.

But he said he'd meet her back at the Skyhold after the final romance scene, so I don't think he left?

Morrigan drank, the Wardens were exiled, the mages were recruited and treated as equals, Cole was asked to be more like a spirit, I let him kill the mages that hurt his friend, etc.

The only "Solas disapproves" notices I got were things at the very beginning, or from being a little too humble sometimes, and I don't recall seeing a plain "Solas disapproves" on my screen--so if I did it was maybe only once. With all the approval I got from everything else, I don't think that could have changed things.

People are still saying you can get him to say but Im starting to think they are either trolls or repeating rumors.

I don't know any other dev to ask. I'm afraid to ask Gaider, lol.
But in the end game, if you could find him. Or a way to keep him from breaking up.
