I'm still worried about an old god elf baby. When Solas removed the vallaslin from the female elf, I wonder if he also did something else to her. Will there be a baby in 9 months?

He is a wolf elven god, not God.

If something have happen at all, is some kind of impression of his ancient elven magic.

I tried to awww at that scene when I got it but that silly hat and the way it's clipping through his face! I just ended up laughing the whole time. But again, I love how comfortable he was at that party, I wasn't expecting it.

She changes bodies, so her exterior appearance doesn't necessarily match her heritage.

And yay, keeping the vallaslin doesn't screw up the romance. That's great news for my character.

I doubt it. If an old god elf baby was relevant to the storyline, there would have been a definite sex scene between Solas and the Inquisitor. No reason not to, after all. There's a line of Solas's that you could take to meaning they've been intimate, but I imagine the ambiguity is to let you headcanon what you'd like. Bioware isn't going to spring a demon child on you without making it explicitly clear.

I'm just speculating, but it seems that Flemeth no longer feels beholden to elves. She's willing to help anyone that aligns with her motives. Being a human allows her more freedom than an elf might. Solas, however, still feels strongly connected to elves.

I just tweeted PW on cypher: Having just released DAI, I'm sure this is the last thing you want to think about but ...any chance of a "Wolf Hunt DLC" for the broken-hearted elven inquisitors out there? #HappyEndingPlease

We'll see what happens - fingers crossed!

We got a "We will see!"

Classic mom response, but hey, I'll take that as a silver lining!

It's not a "no".

I will take it.

Not everything has to end in sunshine. For this reason the Solas romance is one of my favorites, it ends in a powerful unexpected way that breaks the mould most bioware romances typically follow. It's like the Jacob romance but done tastefully and right, and because of that it feels realistic and different from the others.

Having a dlc that ends with your elf in the arms of Solas ruins the arc of the romance, it undermines everything that came before. I mean your inquisitor managed to make a "god" fall in love with her, can't that be enough? Knowing he loved you but had to leave for reasons beyond your scope?

Thanks for asking. I'm gonna stay hopeful we'll get some resolution - though we might not like it. I'm sure they'll address it, be it on DLC, expansion or next game, so we just have to hope it's not next game as our Inquisitor will probably not have a big part in it.

I completely understand and respect the reasons why he left, but blame the eternal optimist / hopeless romantic in me.  Yes, he left to possibly protect our inquisitors for reasons beyond our scope, but why can't be resolution? I'm not saying, arm in arm running into the sunset perfection, but a realistic way that they can find their way back, and she can be apart of that scope? Whether aiding him (or trying to stop him, depending on your character). The witch hunt DLC wasn't an automatic happy ending for male wardens, but it gave answers and closure. And yes, the idea of a "god" falling for your mortal elf is an amazing feat to take in. I'm not denouncing that.

I do get it, I do. But there has to be a way to follow the story (and for us hopefuls, add a happy ending) without completely undermining the arc or the characters.

And, knowing PW, if he chooses to take us in that direction, we will just have to trust that what he crafts will be good.

If our Lavellan actually knew about it: Yes! Wonderfully sad and dramatic, but entirely pleasing - for me at least. But not like this. He left, promising her to explain stuff to her but never does. (At least that's what I read.) That's just really really sad. I just want him to explain it to her, maybe a last single kiss or something and then he's gone, off to do whatever he needs to do. I just hope we get that kind of conclusion in a DLC or something. I'd even take a single letter or codex entry.

Btw, do you guys think a desire demon can now actually effect Solas/Mr Wolf because of his attachment? That would be a sight to see!

I don't need a sunshine ending. In fact, I'd personally prefer more of an ambiguous one. But he did promise an explanation. I'd like the option to hunt that wolf down to get it.

Even beyond romance, what the elven gods are up to sounds like it would make a very compelling DLC.

In my opinion, it doesn't have to end in sunshine, but I really hope the Inquisitor gets the explanation he promised. We got the epilogue, which is vague but something, but our Inquisitors knows shite by the end.

I will never understand people who enjoy bad endings to a romance :? ...I would rather have a happy ending..or something hopeful instead something sad and depressing. I'm glad PW didn't give a "No" so that maybe our inquisitor will get some answers soon about our "Wolfman"  :D

When you go to speak to Cole, his first line is always the thoughts of someone in the inquestion or a resent quest. it's like a riddle.
Some are hard to figure out if you don't know the truth about them. I just got this one from Cole.

"He was their enemy the whole time, but she made him forget, so he could change."

I'm thinking he is talking about Solas and my Elf quizzy.

Also, yeah it's implied thru ambient convo that you guys are intiment. You got to look for them too.
Sarah says "I see the way you look at him, your really in it. I bet he says "For elven glory" when he does it, yeah?"
Lol.

Finally got some screenies of Ulee. They are not great, since my "trigger" finger for PrntScrn is a bit rusty. Spoilered for size:

Spoiler

I am still loving my choice of Sumlee's voice. It really fits this "once a CE, now Dalish" elf of mine. ;)

OH, and I do love all the convo's I have had with Solas, but I did want to throw in a shout-out to Josie. I am loving this lady. Totally going to make a PC to romance her. I think she is fantastic.

Can you guess, I am having fun? :D

Depends on what your definition of "bad" is. Bittersweet or even bitter endings are alright with me as long as the feelings are real and the love interest isn't just killed off for drama factor. In this case I'm not surprised or disappointed because I know what he is. I never expected it to end any other way and the emotions he showed were enough for me. At least what they had was real and both of them are still out there, alive and kicking!

If I could "like" your post a trillion times, I would do it. I loathe sad endings to anything, and when I play a game, I want to actually feel good when I finish, rather than feel like crying or stabbing myself in the head with a firepoker. And hope works...altering the final scene with Solas (from what I've read about it) so that he kisses the Inquisitor, kinda smiles and says he made a promise and a god always keeps his promises or, at the very least, says he'll see her again, would at least leave some hope for a happy ending that we could head canon, if necessary.

Though I suppose it's better than just killing him off as an afterthought the way they did with Thane in ME3.

Maybe someone should ask if it was meant to be implied on the intimacy? I'm real curious. I'm okay with out showing it, but with the dialog from others Im confused. You'd think they would hand wave something like that.
Just a yes or no. Someone else's turn cause I asked about the Solas always leaves question or I would. Lol.

For the implied intimacy thing, from what I gather at one point you can tell him he's just trying to get into your bed and he responds with something like "that's just an enjoyable side benefit". That's the most implied I've seen it.
