In that conversation he seems to be speaking directly to Cole, not Lavellan. Since it only happens to a Cole that has been encouraged to become more of a spirit, it makes sense that Solas might have started to grow concerned that Cole might be able to detect who he was and what he was doing.
I also suspect Cole did exactly as was asked and promptly forgot, heh.
He made Cole forget? Poor Cole, he keeps losing friends ![]()
I have no idea where this is going, I can't even guess...hopefully by the time I'm at the end of the game there will be fanfiction to plug the holes and tape the heart back together *mope*
I don't think he forgot about Solas, just what he gleamed about Solas in regards to his 'mission'.
Thank you for the video ![]()
I saw some human Cole videos and I liked it better but I'll probably go spirit in my Solas romance PT.
Np!
Also does anyone know about the Temple of Solasdan? Apparently you have to get all shards in the game and fight a level 23 dragon so I don't think I'll be doing that...
...I thought writing fanfiction would cheer me up about the whole sad stuff about Solas, but I just compared the salty remains of tears on skin to fallen empires - I doubt this Oneshot will turn out happy, then. Ugh. Apparently I can only write with a bottle of fantears ready to be used as ink.
This is what I have so far, if anyone is curious. Please keep in mind that english isn't my native language and I'm only 18, haha. =)

I made him more of a person and got that scene
I made him more of a person and got that scene

I just realized something, it was stated multiple times before the game came out that someone was working behind the scenes of Thedas that ensured there wasn't any force that could deal with the threat of the breach. Except the Cory wasn't responsible for the mage rebellion or the orlesian civil war/elven rebellion. He took advantage of the chaos but he didn't cause it. I wonder especially with Fen'Harel strongly hinted to have more to do with rebellion than being a trickster if it had something to do with him waking up and whatever his plans are. I mean he the breach was clearly not his intent but he must have intended something when he gave Cory the orb.
Masked Empire spoilers below:
And then there's the Masked Empire to consider, Fellassan is blatantly connected to Fen'Harel (hell his name even means slow arrow) and whatever he was working for wanted the eluvians and then killed Felassan when he refused to give it the passcode. Now the passcode for the eluvians is Fen'Harel enansal" to me this implies that Felassan's master isn't Fen'Harel because that seems like something Fen'Harel would already know, also this entity is trapped and the fade and it seems more like Solas woke up in the real world, I mean he was seen near Haven before the breach happened so why would he have used Felassan as an agent, especially since Felassan is heavily implied to be killed by his master and that seems out of character for Solas since he favors rebellion (supporting the mages and supporting Briala) and detests slavery, just look at his conversation with Iron Bull qun friend and how horrified/angry he is if the inquisitor drinks from the well of sorrows, basically he's not the kind of person who murders servant for failing him.
Felassan also compares Briala to Fen'Harel more than once (there a possible convo with Solas after the Orlesian ball where he says that he has a lot of respect for Briala and that she is a driven woman, which is interesting since he never speaks to her in the game). I suspect that whatever killed Felassan was another elven god who has a strong connection the Fen'Harel.
That got a bit rambly at the end but I'm mostly trying to piece things together with the information we have and we don't have nearly enough pieces of this particular puzzle, sorry if I'm not making any sense.
OH MY GOD.
My tween years just returned to me. With all this talk of Solas and wishing he'd visit again in dreams.
Sorry not sorry for dredging this song up from Titanic:
Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on
Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're gone
Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
You're here, there's nothing I fear
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on.

That does make a lot of sense! I have been trying to figure out why Solas would have killed Felassan, or even bothered to work with him in the first place. Its also very strange that Solas wouldn't know the passcode to the eluvian mirror, when it directly relates to him. [Unless it was more of a 'hidden in plain sight' type approach. The last thing Fen'Harel would guess to be the password was his own name.]
I do remember Felassan saying something about the clan he came from, and that Briala 'wouldn't want to meet them.' He also talks at length about the ancient elves, almost as if he remembers that society himself. I can't help but wonder if maybe there's some sort of last remnants of the old elven society hidden somewhere. Maybe a forgotten one cult?
This sums up my feelings on the romance personally. ![]()

I couldn't resist this little screenshot opportunity...
Solas's last words to my quiz were something like "you were right to be angry. I hope in time you will understand". I read someone else say he said something like, no matter what comes, know that what we had was real. When was that? I guess maybe his last line to you depends on how your quiz reacts to when he leaves?
Same time as what he said to me then! Guess his line at that point does indeed change depending on how you react to him at the lake.
Yeah I chose the I love You option from the bat and stuff. At the time all that was in my mind was WHAT THE HELL NO I LOVE YOU PLEASE DON'T LEAVE WHYYYYY and he said the thing about it all being real. ;;
