Yeah... That spoiler. Well, I guess it's like most short spoilers - we won't know how we feel about it until we see it.

 

And the Varric one... interesting. I thought that could be one possibility they were going with. Hopefully not in my game, but hey xD

By the way, I have no idea how possible it is to have a bad ending for the Inquisitor or Thedas, but I'm starting to think we can do a screw-up playthrough and leave all our companions worse off than when we met them.

A lot has been revealed today :/ I only saw that bit about Solahusbando but there is PLENTY more spoilers on the other over arching quests.

If this is true then it at least looks like his actions were unintentional. And it would explain the odd look he gave at 9:20 in that one video, like he was withholding something. Maybe he joined the Inquisition to set right what he did and is keeping it guarded...since GDL said he was a guarded person...and also a moral one, which an outright villain rarely is. I guess we'll know soon enough. I think this would be interesting in a friendship/romance with Solas; he'd be partially to blame for the Inquisitor having a mark that might kill them.

This makes a lot of sense, he is a rift mage, after all. I think however, he's going to regret what he's done, I don't think killing him for making a mistake is the right call here, unless you're an ass.

I knew or suspected one of the companions(mages) would have something to do with the whole disaster. It can't go all smoothly with everybody just like twist with anders.
There's noooo way in hell I'll be killing him at least not until I know what's up for sure and see how I feel about whole thing at the time, I want to see his interaction, I want to learn about him and figure him out as the story progresses.....
I'll be honest I killed Anders, many....many...many times. I loved anders in awakening but in DA2, I could not stand him.

Just have to wait and see I suppose.

I don't think it will. I feel like his romance might be... more difficult than the others? If it's true that he started the whole mess, that's got to be something that would make getting involved with the person cleaning up your mess weird.

You are absolutely correct, I looked for more info about him and can't find much at all. I'd love to find more info about him and his romance option.... But most ppl mostly intrigued by Solas and Cole.

Yeah, and that one mention wasn't even very positive, since it said even the dullest (Blackwall) had some interesting stories.

I am so incredibly okay with this.

Y'know, the more I think about it the more I like it. It doesn't sound like he did it out of malice. Perhaps it was out of curiosity, or to see if he could. And then the breach happened and he realized what he'd done, so he immediately goes to see what he can do to help...and he finds the Inquisitor. The Inquisitor who's slowly being killed by the mark on her hand that he caused. No wonder he's trying to be so helpful. And no wonder he's so concerned with what sort of savior the Inquisitor will be, because, in a way, he created them.

 

And if you add the romance... Wow. No wonder they used the extra time to give him a romance.

 

Mind = blown.

 

Though is this confirmed or just a theory? I mean, it fits. But I don't want to start hoping.
