But it's okay to demand a feature be included in the game because you like it?
I'm not sure I see the difference

No one here is demanding anything of Bioware. We are merely voicing our disappointment that a feature we like and used a lot was removed from the game for no apparent reason. Even if Bioware changed the inventory in a way that THEY thought rendered a storage chest superfluous, they could have easily thrown one in Skyhold to appease us. So far three separate reviews have mentioned this issue and said it was annoying.

Note: annoying. Not game breaking. I'm not saying this is going to ruin the game for me. It's just a bit baffling.

But by all means, freak out about it.

How am I freaking out? I'm more confused than anything. I just don't understand why they removed the storage chest. So because I speak up about it to see if anyone else agrees with me, I'm suddenly FREAKING OUT?

*rolls eyes*

No storage chest in Skyhold is a bit bizarre.

I see it being future DLC is demand is high. Most likely tied to a Story DLC.

It will be added later. I'm pretty sure of that. Mildly annoyed, but not worried.

Warden's Keep had it in DA:O didn't it?

Really, no storage chest at Skyhold?

Definitely needs to be added in via patch or title update.

I mean you would think there would be plenty of closet space...  So yeah, I agree this needs to be changed.

Well that's stupid.

Wait for the mod, I guess.

It's not an unlimited inventory I want -- it's a separate storage space where I can put some of the stuff I don't want to carry around with me at all times. If you can't understand the difference, then you're absurd.

That isn't what your thread title says

perhaps you should change the thread title to reflect your actual problem with the game

Also I'm not sure why you are taking this so personally

No modding tools at the start of things and frostbite 3 is hard to free lance mod, the best that has happen was an apprance injector on bf 4 and that got people in trouble if I recall right.

Don't pick up the loot you don't need, and you don't have to manage it. Pretty simple.

I pick up loot I don't need because I might need it later if it's a higher level, and if I don't need it, I'm gonna sell it.  Money doesn't grow on Varric's chest, the Inquisition can't run on charity, so they better have replaced all those endless crap equipment and junk drops that I relied on for selling in the first two games with cold hard gold.

The title of the thread is a direct quote from one of the video reviews of DA:I.

Look, I obviously care enough about this issue to waste time creating a thread to complain about it on the Internet. For those of you who don't care, just say so and move on. I see half a dozen threads on here every day that I don't care about and I don't bother posting in them.

I was responding specifically to the post I quoted.

saying you wan't something included in the game and being disappointed it isn't there because you find it useful is no different than someone else saying they don't care if said feature is not in the game because they don't find it useful.

neither is an argument

both are opinions

I sure hope some sort of storage chest gets added in ASAP. This is really going to stink for a whole lot of people.

I agree, both are valid opinions. In fact, you should go create a thread saying "I LOVE THE NEW & IMPROVED, STREAMLINED INVENTORY SYSTEM!"

I don't see why you always gotta act this aggressive towards people who don't share your opinion

I never said I loved anything. I'll form an opinion when I actually play the game

Your thread title also implies that Mike Laidlaw agrees with said quote
"Pointless Inventory Limitation" (Confirmed by Mike Laidlaw)
I think:
"No extra storage space in DA:I (confirmed by Mike Laidlaw)"
would be a more honest thread title

You must have nothing better to do if you're complaining about thread titles regarding matters you don't even care about. Obviously I don't really have anything better to do, either, but the fact that *I* actually am bothered by this glaring omission makes it marginally more excusable.

Wait... So I'm in charge of one of the most powerful, independent organizations in all of Thedas, and I can't even afford to have a simple wooden chest laying around to drop crap in? You know you're in trouble when DA2 has something you don't...

How is what I said aggressive at all??? I agreed that both our opinions were valid... Was it the caps I used in the hypothetical thread title? That was meant to convey his passion for the new inventory system. Sheesh.

Makes one wonder how many more of those "small things" will suddenly show up before release.

Many people in this thread seem to forget the bigger picture. Many gameplay features were either reduced or removed and storage limitation is yet another thing to add to the list. It all adds up and doesn't look all that pretty. I will not be surprised if after release there will be significant discrepancy between reviews we got now and reviews we will get when players will actually get the game.

Did people forget what happened with The Sims 4? No swinning pools, among other things, at release. That's what is progressively happening with Dragon Age.

This is hardly game-breaking. Is it somewhat perplexing there is no storage chest? Yes, especially with the overhaul crafting received and how much loot we are likely to accumulate. Will it ruin the experience? No, but it certainly won't make it easier for hoarders and those who like to collect gear either as an achievement or for sentimental value. Disappointing, but hardly a final nail in the coffin.
