Makes one wonder how many more of those "small things" will suddenly show up before release.

Many people in this thread seem to forget the bigger picture. Many gameplay features were either reduced or removed and storage limitation is yet another thing to add to the list. It all adds up and doesn't look all that pretty. I will not be surprised if after release there will be significant discrepancy between reviews we got now and reviews we will get when players will actually get the game.

Did people forget what happened with The Sims 4? No swinning pools, among other things, at release. That's what is progressively happening with Dragon Age.

There were also a lot of big new things added...

I don't see why you always gotta act this aggressive towards people who don't share your opinion

Now I can't speak for the OP, but IMHO it isn't very classy to come to a thread like this and post one's opinion if said opinion detracts from or opposes the point of the thread. (ETA: because this isn't an opinion poll; it's a push for change.) Adding things to the effect of "get over it" is gratuitously classless to boot because it is a direct denial of the worth of the OP's opinion.

While everyone is entitled to his opinion, without question, coming here to say "I didn't have a problem with it" is directly counterproductive to the OP's point in creating the thread. If one doesn't agree with the point of the thread, one could at least be productive in other ways: suggest ways to cope with the lack of storage or point out mitigating factors, as others have done.

We don't insist that everyone agree; I don't think everyone should. But is it too much to ask that we not be practically ridiculed for asking for something this small that would improve our gaming experiences while having absolutely no effect on others'?

Actually, I welcome any and all opinions that constructively contribute to the conversation. I created this thread to see if there was anybody else out there that was bothered with this decision. Clearly there are a lot of us, but there are also plenty that don't care. That's fine.

And anytime someone comes in here and says something along the lines of "I don't care. Get over it." I just smile because they bumped this thread, which will increase the visibility, allowing more people that agree with me to add their voices to the conversation :P

If they really didn't care, you'd think they'd just ignore the issue and hope this thread gets buried onto page 2...

I don't see it. Just because you start a thread doesn't mean that only people who agree with you get to post in it. If you don't want to be disagreed with, you've come to the wrong place. (I'd look up a Tyrion clip but I'm feeling lazy tonight.)

Like running 10 minutes from pioint A to point B? More meaningless fetch quests to grind power? Or running around like a lunatic to find one small shard for half an hour?

That is just an artificial time filler, a way to put in less content as an illusion of more.

Halving gameplay features makes for an annoying gameplay experiance in most cases.

And that was (part of) my point: constructive posts are great, and I enjoy reading them. And I don't want everyone to agree because that would be, well, boring. Even so, while bumping may be a positive side effect (intentional or otherwise), doing so disrespectfully is still disrespectful. (Pardon the pet peeve.)

It isn't so much the people who claim not to care as the people who say only "I didn't/don't need storage" without adding something constructive; that implies (merely by virtue of the context here in this post) that your point is less valid for having one less backer. In fact, someone just concluded that above, albeit somewhat fallaciously.

It's posts like these that aren't really necessary (but thanks for the bump! ;) ). First of all, he was almost assuredly employing hyperbole. Even if he wasn't, you don't need to call him hysterical for expressing an opinion you don't agree with.

Tactics offer far less in Inquisition than they did in Origins or DA2.

Number of active abilities is half of what was available in DA2 and about 4 times less than was available in DA:O and even more so for DA:A.

Number of skillslots available in the UI is about 3 times less than in previous games.

Character customization has been reduced in place of item customization.

Storage limitation, which hilariously doesn't make any sense. Why on earth would there be no storage when the Inquisition is in controll of a stronghold and a number of keeps?

A bit strange choice, but in reality every single item I ever placed into a storage chest never ever left that box. So it isn't much of a big deal.

Guess what? There are plenty of people who used the default Hawkes and wouldn't care one way or another if Bioware let you customize Hawke's appearance in DA:I... And yet you created a thread thanking Bioware for giving you the OPTION to customize Hawke's appearance.

I didn't go into your thread and say "Herp derp well I never bothered to customize Hawke's appearance so I don't care one way or another!"

My point is just because YOU don't care that the option was removed doesn't make all of our concerns any less valid. Even if you never used it, it would be nice if you could sympathize and be like "Yeah, that does kind of suck for the people who took advantage of storage chests".

I never understand why fans of RPGs defend developers when they make baffling decisions to limit choices, which sometimes have a negative impact on other people's gaming experiences...

Not sure what you're getting all worked up over. It would have been legit for you to go into their thread and give your opinion. That's what the threads are for. And this person didn't say YOU should get over it, they said THEY were over it. Just... calm down.

If anyone is rudely ridiculing you, tell a moderator. Otherwise, don't start a thread if you can't handle opposing positions voiced in the thread. There are no forum rules that indicate that there's a problem with voicing differences of opinion in any thread.  To expect anything else is not realistic.

Again, you're entitled to have any opinion you wish, and you're entitled to post any opinion you wish. I'm not saying you shouldn't be allowed to do either. What I'm saying is that you should be contextually aware of the particular point of this thread. This isn't an opinion poll. It's a place to push for a change, to garner support, or failing that to engender productive discussion. It is completely possible to contribute positively and productively to this conversation without agreeing (in fact, even while disagreeing) that there should have been additional storage space included in this game. I myself have enjoyed reading about how others deal with the lack of storage. But saying nothing more than "I don't care" or "I didn't find it a problem" isn't of help; instead, it comes off implicitly (intentionally or not) as an attempt to invalidate the OP's opinion, which many here share.

You're obviously misinterpreting my tone. I'm not getting worked up about anything. I'm actually rather bemused. I would never go into a thread I don't care about and make a post saying "I don't care" or "I'm over it". I see that as a colossal waste of time. If people want to spend 10-15 seconds of their life to do that here, they're more than welcome to do so. Like I said, everyone can voice their opinion here. I'm going to bed.

There's no mention of "pushing for change" or anything like that in the threads title, or opening. It's just "I don't like this." Which is fair enough, but that doesn't make it not an opinion poll.

Saying "I don't care" or "I didn't find it a problem" says no more than that. To read any more into it means someone is being too sensitive. It is also for the Bioware folks who may be "polling" these threads to see how many folks (or repeat posters) are complaining about something. Or not complaining about whatever the topic is.

If crafting materials don't take up space, and all armors and weapons have blueprints for crafting and u can rename it, I don't think there will be items worth keeping.

See my post just before this. I can handle disagreement just fine; my problem (and again, I clearly don't speak for the OP) is when that disagreement is expressed in an unproductive or counterproductive way. Disagree? At least add something to the discussion. Suggest ways this issue can be mitigated or avoided in DA:I. But don't come here just to say "it's not a problem," because clearly it is for at least three reviewers and it is looking likely for many of us.

Well, I am going to come in and say it's not a problem, if it's not a problem for me. Do you have a problem with that? It's up to me if I want to add reason (which I did) but it's no crime or rudeness to not add any reasons as well. Folks (within forum guidelines) are free to express themselves how they see fit. What is or isn't productive can be up for debate, not that I'm calling the OP unproductive.

Maybe you get to showcase your armors and weapons in Skyhold. That would be cool.

Unique items still exist in the game and I always hate having to sell them, I usually always keep them all if I can.  :(

I'm not sure that the mere expressing of one's opinion has ever constituted an actual poll. (And I don't think a poll would help, here, since it's not about statistics. Gaming is obviously not a democracy, and EA/BioWare is not bound to do anything about this either way. They didn't add in storage because a certain percentage of their gamers wanted it, and they didn't take it away because it wasn't popular. But if they care to look, they will see this is becoming a popular issue now.) It invites discussion, to be sure, but that's not the same thing. And by discussion, I mean just that -- not a complete denial that the point is valid. (To be clear, I am not accusing you of this personally.) The world would be insanely boring if we all agreed on everything. But it would be even worse if we never discussed anything because any given matter was rejected as a valid subject to discuss. That's why I don't reject disagreement per se; I dislike when it is used to shut down further discussion.

I fail to see how anyone can complain about this. If you want, and gawd imagine the wailing and nashing of teeth if we didn't have, item progression then items will become obsolete and fall to the wayside. It happened with Sten's sword in DAO. You could carry everything in BG2 so both of these things have happened before and the world was fine. I'd prefer a Jade Empire system where you didn't have to monkey about with item progression...a sword is a sword but since people can't live without trash looting well here is your price.
