It's actually got a higher limit than DAO's chest.
Yes, but given the amount of unique and set items, it wasn't nearly enough - for pack rats at least.

Really, no storage chest at Skyhold?
Definitely needs to be added in via patch or title update.
Because hoarding means missing out on a part of the game they want you to enjoy. And because if you let people get ridiculously huge inventories, then they'll hate having to manage those inventories.
I'm having a rather hard time of figuring out just how the blazes this logic works.
Maybe you spend all of the Inquisitions money on the insane amount of different design for a personal bed
In that case, I approve. 1080p Cassandra boobs deserve the best.

Why would that matter? It isn't bioware's job to manage those people. This is a single player game. It effects no one having those inventories as large as people want and it doesn't hurt bioware any. Also hoarders generally LOVE to organize and deal with their inventories. So I disagree that it'd make them unhappy.
I only sell stuff I'm sure I won't need somewhere. I'd rather have a storage chest somewhere, but I'll cheat if necessary. As I understand it they limit inventory space to get you to actually sell your stuff and use the stores rather than just leave everything sitting in your inventory/storage forever.
Not convinced that's a good idea, but that's the logic I recall hearing.
Unless it's just a memory issue

Yeah! Keep all those stupid peasents from not playing the game properly!
They're obviously just having fun wrong!
So it's like vanilla DAO? I can live with that. I sell 95% of weapon and armor I find anyway.

"We've got furniture for Skyhold in nine different styles, Inquisitor. Which one would you like?"
"Ah..just show me where I can put my stuff."
"..sadly, I think none of the chests made it up here. They were in the same caravan as the crossbows and Arcane Warrior manuals."
In 7 days to die and Minecraft my character can make a storage chest from sticks and stones 5 minute into the game.
In DA:I you can seize entire quarries and lumber mills, but apparently there is no wood left to create a storage chest.
Sounds legit ![]()

Yeah, this is... an odd decision. But I'm sure I'll survive. As long as they don't have anything like Aveline getting mad at you for selling Wesley's shield.
Bioware quickly released a DLC that included a storage chest and made sure to include one in DA:2 because it was a feature a lot of people like. That's great that you wouldn't use it even if it were an option, but why remove a feature that was well-received for no reason? It makes no sense.
They've been doing that a lot lately, removing features like the if-then tactics system for example.

Enjoy? I hate coming to the end of the dungeon and have to destroy things to make room for the treasures. In Oblivion and Skyrim i only used one mod, and guess what? It was the bag of holding.

Oddly enough she yelled at me for selling it when it was...sitting in my storage chest.
Even Gamlen's possessions are monumental ****-ups I guess.

Correct me if I remember wrong, but didn't that Origins DLC cost Bioware point, which in turn cost money. So considering most want the functionality it would account for quite an easy extra revenue
This will probably be one of those things that will annoy me to death even if realistically it shouldn't, since virtually everything I stored in the chests in DA2 or DAO (using the mod or warden's keep) was crap I never used.

It's also liable to get them a PR flogging, considering the uproar over the chest for DAO being pay-only (for console users/non-modders, anywho) was enough that they put one in the base game for DAA and DA2.
That's really weird. We have an entire stonking castle at our beck and call, but storing items is out of the question? Makes no sense, and given that Inquisition seems to rely on loot more than any other Dragon Age game this seems like it would be really necessary.
I just hope it's added via patch, and not paid DLC. And that crafting materials don't take up inventory space.
So.... they limit character customization to items and limit storage?
What if people will want to keep some items for later, or make different items for different talent "builds"?
But they will release a DLC for 9.99 with something that should have been in the game because of simple logic?
You get your own stornghold and capture some keeps and don't get a storage chest, ridiculous.

Uh you only need planks. lol
I liked how skyrim managed it. Each item had a weight and then you could drop items or jsut stuff them in a chest (of course my inventory was stuffed despite those chests) as a hoarder not having a chest is very annoying.

Yeah, I know it sucks and this should have been included in the original but still, I'm sure most people are also used to it. I didn't do the Wardens Keep till around the end of the game so I went most of the game without a storage chest.
