Hehe, yeah. Without it, half of the games published nowadays seems almost unplayable. Devs dont give a damn in many cases, you have to fix some stuff by yourself ![]()
Crafting materials weigh absolutely nothing (and you will have a lot of it, trust me). The main things you're taking weight for are weapons, armor, accessories, and junk. You can also upgrade your inventory slot through one of the Inquisition powers.

Is the inventory slot based (like in the previous DAs) or weight based?

But I still think we should have storage for the different items we are planning to use in different scenarios. Or just to keep items we're sentimental about without having to cycle through them all every time we open our inventory. They said they designed this game with strategy and pre-planning in mind. Creating an armor set for buffs against the three major elements (fire, cold, electricity) for each playable character would require 30 different inventory slots by itself.

Inventory slot based.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I think an inventory chest would be grand. Very helpful. May have been an oversight not implementing one. (Also, just to check out the math: it's not 30 per character. It's 21 for 2H/staff/bow users, or 24 slots for 1H+shield/dagger...if we're talking 3 different sets. You sit with 60 inventory slots at the beginning and can upgrade over time.
Waah! I have to sell the useless junk the game saddles me with! Waah! Truly, the world is ending! Oh, woe is me!
DA's never had an unlimited inventory system, and I've never collected enough crap to justify using the storage chests.
'Sides, the reviewer probably just missed it.
Your experience mean very little, this is an issue for a lot of people myself included
what the hell? with environmental resistances and immunity's i already need:
Fire Staff
Ice Staff
Force staff
Spirit Staff
then there's the option for more mana mods vs more power.
then of course attires, that match the staves in terms of buff's. then jewellery is completely separate issue.
its all about preparing for battle............ if i only carry a fire staff and clothes that buff fire stuff what happens if i stumble into a dragons den that's immune to fire?
Actually, I meant 30 total, not per character. (Iron Bull has one outfit that buffs against fire, one against cold and one against electricity, etc.) That would require half of your original inventory space. I'm really looking forward to delving into the crafting system and using it to master the high-end fights, esp. dragons. And that's going to require managing a lot of inventory. I'll certainly adapt, but I'm a little mystified that they would remove such a useful feature.

I still figure the reviewer just flat out missed it, for one. And two, you don't it will be an issue as you haven't played the game and thus do not know how the inventory is balanced.
If, after playing the game, you find that you need more junk than the base inventory supplies, then I will consider this a valid criticism. Assuming, of course, our intrepid reviewers actually got something right for once.

but me i need ALL THE COOKIES!

What if you can stack bonuses on a piece of equipment? Either via crafting, spells or potions?
Hopefully the reviewer was just a dumb@ss and missed something important thanks to stupidity and spread misinformation that worried the fanbase. It's happened before.

then people will complain about it being OP'd and it will get patched.
it´s sort of hilarious, you have a freaking castle and camps all over the map, yet you are unable to store your stuff ![]()
I'll keep my fingers crossed that's the case, then.Hopefully the reviewer was just a dumb@ss and missed something important thanks to stupidity and spread misinformation that worried the fanbase. It's happened before.
Well, the way I see it, if true this certainly puts a serious damper on extensive exploration and crafting.
.... Really? :/ well this is a step backwards.
Sounds like a DLC for extra storage is coming.

Perhaps a dev could confirm whether there is a storage chest in Skyhold? (Pretty please?)
Or this thread will end up in feedback section, without even a single word from devs, if there is no chest in the game at all.
Just like that, just like the no tactics thread. New way of handling the criticism.
Yeah, I noticed that. They did that to the thread complaining about the lack of female hairstyles for qunari, too. I even sent Allan a PM saying I didn't think it was fair when they allow so many other "feedback" threads to exist in the Scuttlebutt section...Or this thread will end up in feedback section, without even a single word from devs, if there is no chest in the game at all.

I twittered @ Laidlaw but no response.
"This oversight is so egregious that I feel it deserves its own thread:"
Your first mistake.
He's probably taking a well-deserved vacation, but I really appreciate you doing that! I don't have a Twitter (aka I'm too lazy to create one and use it to ask the devs directly - it's much easier to just complain hereI twittered @ Laidlaw but no response.
