Hey fellow BSN'ers.  Yesterday someone posted about the Amazon's ship date for the guide is Nov 25th.  I posted a response and said I'd check it out.  I chatted with an Amazon rep today and have listed my chat below.  The gist of the conversation is that Prima set the guide release for Nov 25th and Amazon cannot change it.  I simply wish to ask all of you US BSN'ers who are affected by the release date to email Prima Games (go to their website and click on "Contact") so that those of us here in the US can get our guide and in game content on Nov 18th.  At the very least we should be able to access our in game content on the US release date (my opinion).

Thank you

You are now connected to Chetan from Amazon.com
Me:Release Date of Order.
Chetan:Hello, my name is Chetan. I'll certainly try to help regarding your concern.
Me:Why does this product not release with the US release date of Nov 18th? That is when my game will be available to play.
Chetan:Patricia I have checked and can see that
This title will be released on November 25, 2014.
Me:In the US it is releasede on Nov 18th.
In Europe it is released on the 25th.
Chetan:Is it okay to place the chat on hold while I check this for you?
Me:Yes.
Chetan:Thank you for waiting, Patricia.
I would like to inform you that It is depend on the supplier when he supplies the products. The release date may vary from state to state. For an example, when a movie lauches, it lauches at a one date in US and at another date in India.
Me:The product is supplied in the US on the 18th.
There are codes for in game items that comes with this purchase.
These should be vailable on the Nov 18th release date.
Chetan:I completely understand your disappointment. I am really sorry for this, but this item will be released on November 25, 2014. To make up for the inconvenience, I am issuing $10 as a promotional certificate to your account.
Please accept this as a goodwill gesture from Amazon.
I would also like to inform you that this item is high demand item and has Extremely Limited Availability. This premium edition will be printed only once, and the quantities of this item are limited.
Me:This will cover the Prima E-Guide I just purchased which is available on the 18th and comes "free" with the guide I have on pre-order with you. I am going to contact Prima Directly and see what they can do. It simply makes no sense that the US has to wait for in game content that should be available upon release.
You are now reconnected with Chetan.
Chetan:I'm sorry we were disconnected. I can pick up where we left off.
I can understand, Patricia. I wish I could get a resolution for you in this. However, I do not wish to give the wrong information and make fake promises on this case as we respect our customers and trust within us. I have issued $10 as a promotional certificate in your account. which will automatically apply the next time you order an eligible item sold and shipped by Amazon.com and doesn't require a claim code. The promotional certificate doesn't apply to items offered by other sellers on the Amazon.com website and won't cover the shipping costs or any applicable tax of an order.
Are we still connected ?
Me:Yes. Just shot off an email to Prima Guides. I will also make a post on the BSN and ask other concerned forum users to put pressure on Prima games to get this resolved before the game comes out next week.
Chetan:I'm glad that we're still connected. I will surely put forward your issue to our concern department and will make sure that we will take necessary actions on this, Patricia.
Me:Cool. A pincer maneuver should do the trick. Thank you for your time.
Chetan:My pleasure helping you today. Would there be anything else I can assist you with today?
Me:Not today. Have a nice one!
Chetan:I hope I was clear and could be able to assist you up to your satisfactions today.
Alright!
It was a pleasure talking to you. Thank you for being a loyal customer to Amazon. We look forward to seeing you soon. Have a good one. Once you're ready to close this window, please click the "END CHAT" link. Take Care!

Every site I have seen that sells the guide has it listed as coming out on the 25th, so it is not just amazon. I was really shocked when I saw this as well, so I started looking online and found that the release date seems correct.

But yea, 21st not 25th

Still, we should get the guide on oour country's release date

We should still get the guide on our respective country's release date.  It's simply not equitable.

I agree. Like I said, I was surprised to find out that it ships 7 days later than the game, considering all the other editions of the guide release at the same time.

I ended up spending $10 US on the e-guide so I could review game mechanics, armor & weapon stats, etc as I work my way through the early content.  I really do not like e-guides.

It's probably so guide owners don't spoil key events until the rest have had a chance to play it. Somewhat dumb if you ask me considering someone will speed run it long before the 25th.

Huh, wonder if I should try this with the UK Amazon. Might get £10 voucher.

That said, I'm getting the IE Guide over £20 cheaper due to Amazon's pre-order price guarantee, so I'd feel a bit cheeky asking for another £10.

Except that the other editions of the guide release on the same day as the game. It is just the big box set that comes out later.

I stand corrected. It's not somewhat dumb it's downright stupid.

Well, my book-pusher still has it set for release on the 18th, though as it's still a pre-order item they don't list expected delivery dates. And mine is the regular hardback anyway, couldn't justify the original asking price for an added pen as the box would go in storage.

I don't know if this helps, but I just received a message from Amazon stating that the estimated delivery estimate for my collector's edition guide is November 18:

Your new estimated delivery date is: Tuesday, November 18, 2014

Your shipping speed:

Sold by Amazon.com LLC

Maybe the standard edition is shipping later for some reason?

does this effect if you bought it in stores at gamestop?

It may be a large scale typo or an issue with distribution for the guide. Also the edition that is shipping later is the Inquisitor's edition (the big box set).

Don't know about in store but the GameStop website lists the guide shipping on the 25th as well. Link

I just checked my order for the same guide, and it shows as arriving on the 18th, the same day as the PS4 game I ordered.

The shipping delay is not with the Collector's Edition but the Inquisitor Edition (the one with the box and bookmarks and pen).

It was suggested above that there were manufacturing delays. My guess is that's what happened.

If I look at amazon at my order for the collectors edition it shows delivery on the 18th by 8pm, but the email they sent says sometime between the 21st and 25th... That's really weird. I didn't pick one day shipping though, maybe that's the difference?

Edit: Oh, it's the Inquisitor's Edition that's having the issue. Didn't see that before posting. Nevermind then.
