forgive me, really blond moment here:

Now does the Prima Inquisitor verson have  some of the same items as the Gamestop Inquisitor edition? Cause I'd like to know what one exactly to get for them tarot cards. o.O

There are no tarot cards in the game guides, only with the game through gamestop.  Which is probably sold out, though depending on your country and  platform of choice you may get lucky.

To whom it may concern: I received an email regarding the delay in the Inquisitor's Edition guide. After I submit some information, they will send me a code for the eguide. I was hoping for the items, but this may help some people.

I had the same experience as Beever_Boy. I e-mailed Prima about it and they told me I just need to give them my payment confirmation for the print guide and then they would unlock the e-guide for me and send me the code for the DLC that was supposed to come with the guide (I think). They asked for platform and region info., so this is why I think they will also send the DLC code.

Update: don't get too upset, as I think it's just precautionary, but I received notification from Amazon that they will attempt to get my Inquisitor Efition Prima guide to me by December 14. I have had no word from Prima, and hopefully this is a CYA move from Amazon. Hopefully it hasn't been delayed that long, anyway.

I haven't gotten any such notice, so I hope I won't. If it's delayed that long, I may consider cancelling. :(

Just got this in my email though. DAI guide sneak peek.

Yeah I got the same email. They asked if I wanted to cancel my order and if I did not reply before Dec. 14th then they would do so for me. I think it is just a precaution as well and that they will still be released Nov. 25th...unless someone has a statement from Prima that states it will be longer.

Dangit, just now got that email too. I approved the delay, but it's sort of a wait and see for me. I'm not sure I'm willing to fork out $71 for an ultra collector's edition guide that may potentially only be available months after the game releases. What would be the point? I actually like to use my guides, not just put them in a display case or something. Meh.

I received the same notice from Amazon that the Inquisitor's Edition Guide for DAI would be delayed until December 14, 2014.  I pre-ordered back in August 2014.  As a result of the delay, I ended up cancelling my Amazon order.  I had already paid off the DAI Collector's Edition Guide, thru Gamestop, so I will just stick with that.

Anyone know if the Collector Edition and Inquisition Edition have the same size guide aside from the aesthetics of the outside framework?

According to Prima though, amazon is wrong. They said it will only be delayed a week, until Nov 25th. I don't know what the screw-up is here, but I bet lots of other people like you also canceled their pre-order today, based on the amazon email. Too bad for Prima, I guess.

I contacted Amazon and they messaged me back saying that despite the email I will have the package before November 30th ( I picked standard shipping.).

Then you really have to wonder at this email. Did they want to shoot themselves in the foot on pre-orders?

I don't know but think it may be an automated message based on the wording of it. It probably is set to automatically send the message if the item has set for a long time without changing status ( from ordered to shipping soon or shipped).

Anyone know if the Collector Edition and Inquisition Edition have the same size guide aside from the aesthetics of the outside framework?

This has been a matter of some confusion, especially since different retailers provide different page counts (Amazon and BioWare's site differ by 30+pp. on the Collector's Edition alone, so at least one must be wrong).

From Prima's announcement of the Inquisitor Edition: "368-page Collector’s Edition hardcover guide with unique cover treatments matching the container"

I take that to mean that it's exactly the same save for the cover itself. I would think that there would have been some mention of it in the advertising if the IE guide were bigger (dimensionally) and/or longer (content-wise) than the CE. I also think it would cost Prima a lot of money to reformat the whole thing (for bigger dimensions), which would strike me as somewhat foolish economically speaking when there wasn't any need to do so.

While Amazon lists the CE at 384pp., I suspect that's outdated information. Amazon is known for requiring publishers to provide data such as page count long before publication, so it's quite possible that Prima put down 384 as a working number. At any rate, I would very much doubt that the CE would be longer than the IE, especially by nearly 20 pages.

The CE edition. I really wanted the IE edition but a few things changed it.

1. I wanted the IE of the actual game and goodies but it is sold out. It has swayed me to not just get one set. I would want both IE game bundle and guide bundle.. but it is not the main reason.

2. The CE is only 39.99 (or less) and I can get it same day pick up as the game while I would have to pay 101.00 for IE plus 10.00 to speed up delivery.

3. Since I thought the guides were "basically" the same and others mentioning the same thing, It just goes back to point of #1.

It sounds selfish but if I going to collect goodies, I want both bundles for game and guide. I will be picking up the deluxe game and CE on the 18th and run with it. Hehe.

Thank you so much for this, Bekkael. I was up last night until 12:30 AM with Amazon going round and round with their rep on this. I pre-ordered the thing the day it came out. Tuesday an Amazon rep told me I would have it between 11/21/14 and 11/25/14, then yesterday I got that damn December 14th e-mail. When I asked the rep what happened between Tuesday and yesterday, all he could say is "We're out of stock" (how can you be out of stock on something not released yet?)

I sent a message to Prima Games so hopefully they'll send me a similar....lol!! JUST got this message!!

Hi,

We are sorry that you are having trouble. Unfortunately we've had a delay in the production of one of the components, which is delaying the shipment of all of the guides. We expect all orders to be fulfilled by 11/25/14.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

  Thank you,
  Will

I got an email recently regarding my preorders (back in May and June respectively) for the Art book and the CE Game Guide...and both say that the items will be shipped the week of November 24th to 28th, ETA 8:00 pm eastern (no later than).  While I see the point that the guides should be delivered to a person's house on the same day as the release of the game (the 18th), especially if said guides have codes for content etc- I get that I do, but me personally....I don't care that mine won't be arriving till the 24th or even the 28th- I just care that I receive them and that they are not in any way damaged (which, generally everything I have ordered from amazon.ca has come in pristine condition, so I have little or nothing to worry about).  Besides, for the first while I think I'd just want to focus on exploring the game for myself without spoiling anythign by looking at the Game Guide or Art book.

I'm totally enthused about everything I've seen and heard of Dragon Age Inquisition and I have no doubt that I will love this game.  I know there are many "Critics' Reviews" circulating, some of which are less than favourable, but I'm going to make up my own mind about this...and like I said, I have am really excited about what I've seen and heard so far...so I'm expecting all that and more and why shouldn't I?   I hope everyone can approach their gameplay with an open mind and just enjoy their own unique experience for everything it is as well as whatever it is not.

The Inquisition will be here....soon!  The Time Is Near

Well, for some reason Amazon decided customers in Germany could reasonably be asked for a little patience for the Prima Official Inquisitor Edition to be delivered on December 4th 2015, so Nocember 25th doesn't sound so bad...

As long as they're not telling me the same thing about the actual game, I'll remain mildly amused.

I wish I were talking to the Amazon reps you all are talking to.  All I get is "it's back-ordered, we have no information at this time, you can cancel if you want".

If anyone gets more information from Prima, if you could post it here that would be great!

I got the CE at Gamestop at the midnight release.  Maybe by the time you get your IE guides, Prima will have DLC codes that, you know, work...
