I see, Therinfall Redoubt isn't really part of the zone like Redcliffe. I wonder if Dorian leaves Haven if you choose to go templars after meeting him? I suppose he has to if he reappears later to warn you.

He says he'll be in touch. It seems to me he only shows up when and if you decide to continue the mage quest. Otherwise he should show up again after you've done the templar quest, I think.

Ahhh, I'd assumed that 'being in touch' meant hanging around waiting for you to talk to him but that makes more sense.

Cole shows up so late. I wonder if Haven is one of the events that locks certain things out or if I can wait to side questy stuff until I have him?

It seems that completing those missions to get him will lock you out of Haven. You could probably ignore the side quests in other areas though.

Yeah, I was wondering if it was just stuff related to Haven that would be lost or if there are other areas that would lock up after a story event like that.

I heard that apparently when you recruit the mages, you can actually choose what you intend to do with them. Can anyone confirm this?

I can't confirm it but I did hear you can dictate terms to them. Which makes sense, because they're joining you instead of you joining the rebellion.

Really?! That's good because that opens up so many more options. Can't wait to see what pro-mage options are available.

I don't even recognize him...well, by "face" that is. wow. I truly feel spoiled, that I don't have to play this game on my old 360 or PS3.
